Hawaii Gingham, Giveaway 3 and!! Finished!! ( or not) Friday!!

I must be dreaming of warm and sun and beach.....or maybe I should and the wind here would die down. I have seen photos of all sorts of snow and I think it must be coming my way with these winds.... oh boy!! Even the Puppy doesn't want to play!!

but! thats okay - we got our Hawaiian Gingham Quilt done....

Finidng a place to take a photo without it blowing to Kansas... different story!!!
I quilted Hibiscus flowers on it!! Keeping with the Hawaii theme!!!  and this is the back - SUPER busy and bright!!

I wasn't really sure how I would like using that busy print - but I really like how it turned out - its a Happy Quilt!!!

(PS I listed it in my Etsy shop just in case you know anyone who'd like a happy quilt)

Giveaway...

its a cute panel with backing for a wall hanging or mini quilt. When I first looked at it - I thought pillow covering?

But - just to prove its cute... There's My Bella girl
PS - I learned that Bella is the most popular name for dogs now cuz of a vampire movie...
NO!! My puppy is named after lake Isabella.. but saying Isabella takes to long when your trying to get her attention!

Leave me a comment telling me your favorite thing to make with LEMON!!! I'll be glad to send this out to anyone in the continental US.... and I will draw on the 17th!!

and lastly:

Hopefully January is off to a good start for you!! Show it off!

That is the most gorgeous quilt - one of the prettiest I've seen in a long time! Love the fabrics, love the name, everything. That backing is really pretty too, it can easily be a reversible quilt.
I guess I inherited my Mom's love for lemon desserts - I love lemon cookies, lemon cake, and lemon pie! When Mom was alive I struggled to make a decent lemon meringue pie - her favorite - but either my filling was runny or the meringue wept. But she did like the Meyer Lemon Pie I made, with condensed milk, eggs, and lemon juice.

Love that blue and yellow quilt, Alycia. The color tones are SO YUMMY and the print works just fine in that design. I look at my green scrapbin and want it to tell me what to make for RSC but these scraps are so drab looking. I need to pick an easy design and add a color that will help it. More Yellow.

Hawaii Gingham is such a fun quilt. Congrats on the finish. I'm not much of a baker, but I have a huge weakness for Oreo's thin lemon cookies.

What a cheerful quilt. I am going to have to dig through my stash and find a grouping to make one of your plaid quilts! This is the year!

Love lemon pound cake. I had this panel and made a doll quilt, turned out really cute.

Lemons? I love fresh squeezed lemon water-ice cold! I also like it squeezed into a Cosmopolitan ;-)

Happy quilting ya'll!

I love the name Bella... she is a beauty. I named my pup Milo, for Milo Ventimilia heh heh. My last poodle was Cole for Cole Porter (he was jazzy)

I've known some Bella's and always thought it was because they were beautiful

She's such a good girl. My Dolly would have been lying on the fabric!

The new quilt is lovely. No doubt it will find a good home soon.

Please be careful walking around on that snowy ground. I hope that all of the cattle and horses are safe and snug also.

I love the happy quilt! How pretty.

Lemons? Hmmm, I love the juice squeezed on almost everything. But for cooking, has to be upside down lemon cake.

Love the Hawaiian Gingham so much...makes me rethink those prints that are in the stash. The print provides some great movement.
I make a triple citrus bar cookie and I it is a secret ingredient in my "Crack Salmon" recipe.

Great looking quilt, love the color. I would be making Lemon Dainty, a baked lemon pudding. Oh yum and thanks for the chance to win. Have a great day and hope it warms up for you in the next few days.

Love your Hawaiian quilt. The colors are beautiful and the fabrics work so well together.

As far as lemons...I make lemon cake pretty often. It's a big favorite.

Lovely blue plaid quilt. And, I love that wild backing...it really isn't all that wild. I make a great tea bread that is flavored with lemons. The recipe came from an old Cuisine magazine. Yummy. Although your lemon fabric is nifty, please pass it on to someone else. I'm trying to get my stash under control! Yea, I know that is a debatable situation especially since I bough 3 more yards today. But 1 yard was to add some variety to my r, w, b fabric for the upcoming mystery quilt! So, I think I can legitimately blame you! BAHAHAH

I don't like lemon anything. Just sayin.
My granddaughters name is the same as your dogs. And Isabella is what we say when we WANT to get her attention.
Your quilt is beautiful. Have a great week.

Ha! They ARE addictive and now I know why you so heartily agreed with me. It's fun to do them with prints too I found. Thank you for the Bella pic; I always look for one of that sweet girl, so similar to. my boy, but for the colour, grey! He did NOT like the cold either, and now our new girl, an American bulldog mix, hates it as well. They just don't have thick fur, and pink bellies!

My brother's favorite pie is the one with condensed milk, eggs, lots of lemon so that is my go to for him. Love the Hawaiian plaid and I love blue and yellow together. Thanks for having this give away.

Pretty finish, Alycia! The weather here is recovering from blizzard like conditions until the next snow comes and the temperatures are the coldest I can remember in quite a few years. Good time to stay in and quilt!

The florals are gorgeous! In your gingham quilt! My favorite lemon dessert is lemon bars, with the little crusty cookie bottom. mmmmmm
