Click here to enterEvery so often those scrap bins get full, so I would sit down and make crumb blocks. then! I put them in a pile.
Remember - I am working on my piles - so I pulled that one out and was pleasantly surprised to see how many Red and Blue blocks I had... enough for a Whole - ish quilt.
Each blocks was 8 1/2 inches Square
This was the first layout - it was going to be about 56 x 72 - I typically like my QOV's to be 60 inches wide....Voila - a 64 x 72 inch Quilt of Valor top. I have one Red and one Blue crumb block left. I think those are called *seeds* as you know more block may grow.... haha

Back in May our guild hosted a Workshop and I attended.
I also had a broken foot - altho I didn't know it was broken then.
I had a lot of fun and learned some new techniques - but I didn't finish the project.
brought it home - and there it sat.
We had a ton of blossoms and then - a freeze and a wind = and I have exactly ONE apple to pick this year. I may have to hire a whole picking crew ha!
At least I will have one!
Oh la la = a Quilt started and finished within a year! That!! Deserves a Smile!!
This is kind of like my own I Spy quilt - There were 7 if us who participated in this - and we all used our own scraps - so Everytime I look at it - I see something new!!!
This was such a fun swap and fun idea for me!! I am glad that Jessica included me in the *group*
It finished at 72 x 90 I think - and I already have it on my bed - just waiting for the temps to cool off.....
This has been a fun month for me so far. My goal was to have a few finishes - and I think I might actually make it!!!You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
Click here to enterAs in - I am done - I am calling it ready to quilt - I am moving on!!
And also - I saw that my piles weren't getting done as fast... ha ha - so instead of 60 x 80 - it is 60 x 60 ,
That is a perfect size for something right? I stacked the rest of the pieces that didn't get used and they will make their debut in a different project... but!
Potato Chips is done and ready to quilt!!
On to the next thing on my table! I have to be honest - I didn't know I could stack so many things in one place.

This was in one of my piles too - it looks like I got it to the top stage ( without borders) in April.. so I guess that is not too long of a stall. Well - at least not long as a stall there - we started these blocks at a QOV sew day in February of 2025... sometimes my blog rats me out!!
Anyways - I got the rest of the blocks we needed done, and got it to the top stage in April - and then it sat!
I am not sure what to blame that on - as I actually had border fabrics sitting right next to it!
My Beautiful boys... The one on the left is our 2 year old, and the one on the right is my old man -I have had him since he was 4 month old - he is now 28 - I love him.

I was on a roll with this one - and I just didn't want to stop the momentum...

Click here to enterA while back I made quilt a few of those gingham/Buffalo Plaid quilts. and I had some leftovers.
since I am clearing my piles, it was time to address these. I might should have addressed them to one of you - but! I put them up on the design wall and played around with them
This is what I came up with:
And then this one - I have been thinking of what I want to quilt on the Dinosaur quilt I made my son - so I tested this one on a client quilt. I think it kind of looks like a Dinosaur jungle...
We will see what he thinks!!
I feel like a Quilter on a mission to finish up these things that I have piled, but while I am working on them - I am finding that I am thinking of the *next* project.
Its a problem 😄😄😎

Your all that and a bag of chips?
I started Pringles - Pringles was topped, I had pieces left... I have started a Potato Chip quilt... it keeps growing - and I'm not out of scraps... How big will it be?
Each block is 10 inched unfinished
But the cookie tray with the 2 x 3 1/2 inch pieces.... is not empty... at all.... and 50 x 60 just doesn't seem big enough for anyone I know. I am thinking I will try to get enough blocks for a 60 x 80 quilt.
Get Er Done!!! Right? I am sort of afraid to see what else in in my piles 😓

My goals for August - are to actually finish something!
Also - to get my sewing area cleaned up, and to sort thru the piles of fabrics I have just piled.
I started with the easiest thing to do... Bind!
We all know how much I love to bind 😕 but these were little, so there wasn't as much crying when I dug in,
