March Color Challenge Quilt

This month's color palette was a little different for me, I love the Red's and Black's, but I had a hard time mixing them with the other colors.... but I decided that I was just gonna have ta  LOL - I just decided to buckle down and sew the colors together, and you know what???

I like it!! I was going to add borders to the top as well, but the more I looked at it, the more I decided I liked it just as it was...

Here is the palette

This is my block......put into a top....

Ta Da - here is the whole thing. I think when I finally do quilt it ( which may be a while!!) I will bind it with the black or the yellow.... Not sure which at the moment.

For other Finished Fridays go to
or to

Have a great day!!

I would have had a hard time with the colors too, but I am so glad to see that you pushed through. This a fun quilt with a little bit of dramatic appeal. I am thinking that this might be one that might look great with a double or triple binding look. (not real borders but more of very narrow strips like binding width.

I don't know that I would have thought to put those colors together but they really look fabulous! I guess that's what a challenge is for, though. Beautiful results!

You did a wonderful job with this month's color challenge - great choice with the patterned black! Oh would use that to bind with for a great 'framing' of the piece.

I saw this and about fell off my chair. What a dramatic contrast of colors. I absolutely love it. I'm pinning it for inspiration.
