To Do Tuesday

I have not done one of these in years.... Or at least that I have made public - but I follow Home Sewn By Us - and they post a list every Tuesday - and they are SO productive!!  ( it can only rub off right?)

So - here goes.... and keep your fingers crossed something gets accomplished - okay??

 1. Finish Quilting this one:  It is a Client quilt - and it is HUGE - I mean.. really huge!! but so pretty!  and of course I love feathers:

2. Finish my Greek key Blocks

3: prep my More Modern BOM blocks for this month:   here are some of them...  I am actually caught up to September - I just don't have a photo of them all on the wall

4:  Keep working on my Disappearing Shoo Fly blocks - this is out Block of the quarter for my QOV group....

5:   Get this months Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks done -

I think the color this month is red - but the only color I have left in my stash pack is yellow - so I will just pretend my yellow is red this month - or I will claim that I am color blind haha!

6:  and very last - get a few more masks made for my Dad. He has to do rehab three days a week and they require masks - and you know he has to look good right? none of those cheap blue ones for him!!

To Do Tuesday  and hopefully quilting like crazy to finish my list!

Hi Alycia! Welcome, welcome. How nice of you to join in. Now remember - it's no stress allowed so don't even worry if you don't get to check anything off. But I know you will! I love seeing all the different blocks for the RSC. I'm going to join in next year and so far I've not seen one duplicate choice in blocks! Yes, please make Dad some nice masks so that he can brag about you a bit. I can just imagine the twinkle in his eyes as he's telling someone about you and the masks! Greek key block! I've never heard of that block before but it is cool. I've been thinking about a maze quilt - that would be the perfect block to start it off. Oh geez . . . that sounds like a squirrel has been let loose. Thanks for linking up this week! ~smile~ Roseanne

Welcome to the Tuesday To-Do Crew, Alycia! I hope it's as helpful to you as it has been for me. I found that at first, I was very unrealistic and put way too much on my list each week, then felt discouraged when the next Tuesday rolled around and most of my goals were unfinished. But gradually I've gotten a much better feel for what I CAN realistically accomplish in a week, given that life, family, etc. is bound to throw a monkey wrench into my plans at some point every week... And knowing how much I can realistically expect to get done in a week helps me with setting more reasonable long term goals. Those feathers on your client's quilt look so beautiful; is that freehand? If so I'm totally jealous but I still love you. ;-). I hope you'll link up with Long Arm Learning, and I hope you'll show us a picture or two next week of your dad in his snazzy new face masks!

I must tell you something about joining in with this list of to-dos every week.... It can get habit forming...but a very good habit to have. Good luck with all your list! I enjoyed seeing what you are working on....and those feathers are so nice.

To Do lists are good so long as you keep the stress level within reason. I've found them to be very helpful, especially when there's lots going on around me. Focus can sometimes be a challenge around here. And yes, this month is RED for RSC but I think YELLOW is the last one left on the list so you'll be a month ahead! Then you can pick your own color to finish out the year (grin).

Hi Alycia, thanks so much for linking up to Free Motion Mavericks. I know that you finished your key blocks and the haying. Are you getting other stuff done too? I’m visiting at my sister in law and doing lots of hand stitching while they all play golf. It’s been great, Take care.
