Happy Friday Peeps!!!
We are starting a new construction project out here - and Oh My Stars!!! The amount of questions I have had to answer!!! Oh goodness ! I have the best contractor, total attention to detail, but those details - who knew there could be so many!!!
We have had to move some fences, and get some lines located, and move some of my hubbies planter boxes - I am tired and the construction hasn't even started!
but! I did get a chance to finish my March Purple Lightning Streak quilt !! and realized I was spelling the word wrong - so gotta fix that!!!
We have had some crazy storms around here - Bella and I went to take photos and we started out , it was sunny and warm - but the time I got to my fence the temp had dropped 20 degrees and the wind picked up - crazy!!!
Ms Bella was trying to hold the quilt down - but it just kept getting away from her!!
This is when she just gave up and started pointing the cows.. they are out there - hiding in the brush
I quilted a Fun Swirly Bee Panto on it, and the back... its shirt plaid ! This is from a line of Roper Shirts maybe 10 years ago - I have yardage of it, and it was easy to get to - so I decided it was perfect!
What have you been up to this week? Any new things to brag about?
Is it Spring or still winter in your world... We had snow last saturday and it was 70 on Sunday - whaaaaaat?
Alright - Link away!!!

the fabric combo is lovely and such a cute panto - great quilt
Wow on the wind, Bella is really trying to help - lol! Those colors look so pretty together, and your quilting is gorgeous. I have not had experience with the Woofbite, but I'd be interested if it truly is indestructible.
The weather can really be a crazy thing! We need rain badly as we didn't have much snow this winter. Love your latest finish. I keep forgetting to ask you if you have a favorite pattern for homespuns?
I love your Lightening Streak. Really pretty how it turned out.
that is determination to get a photo - your weather looks like ours minus the wind right now. Lovely quilt and love the scenery
This turned out so pretty---the color combo is very, very sweet!
And so is Bella!
Hi Alycia, that's quite the weather change and wind! When the cows are hiding, that's probably not a good thing. Good luck with the construction - it's always a bit of an upheaval. Thanks for the party :-)
Looks just like home, with the crazy wind. Such a pretty quilt, and the windy pictures actually look quite nice.
Goodness you have had quite a lot of transitional spring weather this year - that quilt was trying to turn into a magic carpet! I hope that the construction goes as smoothly as possible.
Love your purple plaid & yellow quilt - and your windy photos!
Congrats on the finished plaid quilt. I am a sucker for plaid and I'm a sucker for yellow. So, you nailed it with this one, lol. Love the bees. Too cute! I don't have dogs so can't help you with the toy question. Have a great weekend. ;^)
P.S. Crazy weather in Canada too. I had to cover my blueberry plants (only a foot high still) because they started to show leaves and, all of a sudden, it snowed!! SOOO not impressed with Mother Nature.
Purple Lightening Streak looks amazing! Love the bees quilted into it. Bella looks like a great helper with the quilt and of course spotting the cows as well. Lol. Have a great weekend.
Such a beautiful quilt in the breeze and it does look breezy there!
No sewing for me but boy is that streak of lightning just perfect. It did enjoy blowing in the wind, that is for sure. I love the photos...sometimes (always) nature wins!
Very fun quilt with an equally fun backing. Congrats on the finish! Stay safe, spring storms are no fun.
