Stash Report - last one of 2011

So first - I have a question. This is the first year I have done the stash report over at Judy's . Since this is the last one of the year - does that mean that this week is *free*?  So anything I buy doesn't count?  Or does it get reported on the first stash report of 2012?

Not that I am planning on buying anything - but you never know.........

Okay so for the last one of 2011

Fabric in this week:   0
Fabric Donated YTD:      164 Yards
Fabric Purchased YTD:    56.795 yards
Total In:                                220.795

Fabric Used this week:    2 yards - this is for step 5 and 6 in Orca Bay
Fabric Used YTD:           463.559 yards

Total Stash Busted for 2011     242.764

I am quite proud. All the fabrics that were Donated for Quilts of Valor are in the quilts!!! There is nothing left - so I am quite tickled.  And that I only bought 57 yds is kind of impressive... I have never tracked what I purchased - but I would have assumed that it was more.... just cuz of the piles I have ( seen  here  )

For other year end stash reports go to Judy's

Stash Report 12/18/11

I have finally finised steps 1-4 of Quiltville.com 's Mystery so I am going to now count that yardage as used....   I am one of those who does not wait until its quilted and bound, or I would never have a stash out column... and I NEED that column or I can't justify to Wrangler Man the need for more fabric... right????

Anyways

USED This Week:    6.82 yards   ( 5.82 Orca Bay, 1 yard pillowcase)
USED YTD:              461.56  yards

IN this week:             0 yards
IN YTD (donated)      164 yards
IN purchase by me:    56.79 yards
TOTAlL In                       220.79

TOTAL STASH Busted:           240.76 yards out into quilts ( yay!!)

Stash Report Sunday

I did not succumb and go to any black friday sales, and I even stayed off of the internet... to no new fabrics.... but I did notice that I did my report wrong last week... I combined two different lines, so the math was wrong.... to my favor * yay*

So now maybe I should have gone shopping?   Oh - and I haven't included any of the fabrics that I have used for my Quiltville Mystery yet... I was gonna wait till the end....

So Fabric Used YTD:                                 454.74 yards
Fabric Purchased YTD ( by me)            56.79   yards
Fabrics Donated ( for QOV)                164.00 Yards

      Total Fabrics In                                       220.79 yards

Total Fabrics Busted YTD                    233.95 yards   ( gone!)

A little late - but never too late

JoAnne over at http://nappinnanaquilts.blogspot.com/   Sent me a Quilt of Valor top a little while back ( Okay maybe year ago) and she emailed to see if it had been finished..... I so brazenly said - I bet it is.... and you know what? It wasn't.... and I hung my head in shame...

But at the same time I decided she was phychic... because I had sent it to a volunteer long arm quilter, and on tuesday she passed it back to me, and a dear lady took it to bind.... and now it is in the washer and will be ready to go to is destination....

So - here it is!!  And JoAnne - will you still like me?

Thank you for your patience!!! I am trying as fast as I can.....

Oh and for a stash report - I made a million gazillion miles of binding, and I can't take any of it out of my stash, because it is all from the trimmings of the backings, and that was already counted when I sent the quilts/or quilted the quilts.... bummer

Fabric In YTD:    220.795 yards
Fabric Out YTD:   394.422 yards

Total Used so far this year:  -173.627....   and counting  LOL

Sunday Stash Report

I think my stash report is looking okay - not much done this week as compared to others - but I will take it

Fabric In this Week:    0
Fabric Out This Week:   6.5 yards ( my Jacobs ladder quilt a long - found here)  and 1/2 yard for center of string blocks.

Fabric In YTD ( Purchased by me)    56.8 yards
Fabric in YTD ( given to me)             164 yards
Total Fabric In                                   220.795 yards
Fabric Out YTD:                               394.42 yards

Total fabric BUSTED YTD:         173.62 Yards

I have been rearranging my Long Arm Room a little bit. Because I am downstairs a lot, I thought maybe I could set up a little sewing area down there and set it up with strings. That was it doesn't have to be moved when another quilt project comes up. I'll let you know how productive it am   ( plus its next to the fridge that has the Dr Pepper!!)

We have been spending a bit of time North East of us, and I thought this was a cool thing to take a picture of.....

Sunday Stash Report

oops.... I went to a quilt shop... or two.... they lured me in.....

On my way home from a Quilt of Valor delivery - I thought that maybe I could check out the local quilt shops and see if they were a part of Quilts of Valor, or the Under Our Wings program.... and I had to check out what they had.... right???

So the first stop was and Outlet store, and it was crazy - I have really never seen that much fabric all in one place - seriously... and I bought some Cheddar Moda Fabric.  You'll have to come see my design wall to see how I used it.

I found this pattern at LadyBugHill Quilts - It looks a little like the memory quilt that I made, but it has measurements for it!!! YAY

The next stop was http://www.hcquilts.com/ - High Country Quilts. And lookie what I found!!

Now this next fabric has no relation to QOV's - but its a halloween jelly roll - isn't it cute?

From Colorado Springs I headed north to CastleRock and went to Sew-Ciety - and I found some pumpkin fabric to match my Halloween Jelly Roll!!!

And a 6 yard pack of crazy fabrics - I have no clue what it is for, but I liked it... so it came home with me!

So - My stash report :

( this is 3 weeks worth)

Fabric in This week:     13.5 yards
Fabric In YTD:           220.795 yards

Fabric Used this week:    61.09 yards
Fabric Used YTD:     387.92   Yards

Total Fabric Busted:   -167.12 yards

To see other reports go to:   http://www.patchworktimes.com/

Then I went to Lady Bug Hill Quilts ( http://www.ladybughillquilts.com/)  they are involved in Quilts of Valor and are starting to have sew days.... Nice!!!

Sunday Stash Report

I have been busy making quilt backs!! So this report looks good.... but next weeks should look even better ( Ihope!!)

I made 6 Quilt backs this week - all Quilts of Valor backings - cuz some of my wonderful long-arm friends are going to get them quilted for me.... there is just NOT enough time in the day anymore!!! I think they are getting shorter - at least thats my excuse

So the report:

Used YTD:          -351.003

Added this week:                 0
Added/donated YTD:    207.29

Net BUSTED   :    -143.71 yards

But the even better news.... we made backs for 13 more QOV's today...and the borders for 2 tops, and finished a top... and bound 4 quilts..... thats gotta make a dent right?

Sunday Stash Report

My Stash has not changed ... kind of.....   I bought a quilt kit at a show, but I have already cut into the kit- so its a wash ... right?

But.... on the good news side - I think I am getting my quilty back..... it has kind of been missing, due to full schedules and lack of inititive to get to the machine, But I am excited - I will even have a design wall tomorrow!  Things are looking up!

Stash report:

Total Fabric Used YTD:   316.84 yards
Fabric in this week:              0

Total Fabric in YRTD:       207.29Yards

Total Fabrics Busted:         -109.54 yards

I am going to assume that my numbers aren't going to change much this next month - as I have 3 quilts in process, and have recieved a lot of Quilt of Valor tops that need to be quilted. So wish me luck that I can get as many of those quilted as possible.

Sunday Stash Report

Oh boy.... I was doing so very very well, and then my friend said I have a little bag for you for Quilts of Valor and then..... I decided I needed to make a quilt - a certain kind of quilt - and I needed a litttttle bit more fabric....... but then on the good side - I have been making backings like crazy for Quilts of Valor and getting them to other longarmers - because a wonderful sewing friend brought me 11 tops, and another friend brought me 7 tops and I KNEW that I would never get that many done by the end of the year..... so I made brownies.

Shew - say all that without taking a breath!!!

So - are you ready for the damage?

Fabric Used This Week:                             12.55 Yards
Fabrics Used YTD:                                    314.35 Yards

Fabrics In ( donated to QOV)                     22.5 Yards ( see this was NO small bag!!)

I want to thank you ALL for your support these last two weeks. The emails and cards and comments truly made things easier for Wrangler Man and Me. Although there is a BIG hole in our hearts, we know our *girls* are all in heaven - and we believe that the outcropping of rainbows the last two weeks are not only a sign of hope, but are the girls painting the sky for us.

Stash Busting Report

I tell you what - Cutting fabric is wonderful therapy, and a great excuse to hibernate in the basement where it is MUCH cooler!

I kind of cut up a lot of fabrics Saturday - most are in preparation for our sew day today, and for some future projects that I am going to start right now - because lets face it, I love to start things!

So the report:

Fabrics In this Week:           1/2 yard of a cool patriotic fabric
Fabric in Personally YTD:    42.04 Yards
Fabrics Donated:                  141. 5 yards ( I think I have busted ALL of this now!)

Fabrics Used This Week:     16.812 Yards
Fabrics USed YTD:            301.786 Yards

Stash Busted YTD:     118.241 yards used!!

I cut up 15 FQ's of brights to do the sew along over at

And then I had a bucket ( that is it to the right) And I just decided it needed to be cut up - cuz I want the bucket back . So I used my accucut and laid the dies out that I have, and when the fabric fit the die.... that is what I cut.

And this is a test block with some of my scraps - I like it, but wonder how I would use it in a QOV.... that will be pondered on while I go eat Ice Cream!

Sunday Stash report

I think I got a little behind in doing my stash reports. Probably cuz I haven't been tempted to buy anything, as no one will let me near a quilt shop!! We need to have a family talk - ya know!

So from June 12 to today this report will catch me up;

Fabric Used:   6.5 yards  ( the fabric for my Indigo challenge quilt and backing for my UFO #8)
Fabric Used YTD:   278.224 yards

Fabric in:     O Yards
Fabric in YTD:   183.045

Total Fabric BUSTED YTD : 95.179 yards!!!

And because you really really want to know the reasons we haven't been to a quilt shop:

Dixie doesn't know how to parallel park yet - so she has to stay on the ranch.

Rojo is not equipped with the appropriate blinkers - and he doesn't qualify as a farm vehicle.

And Butter - well Butter is not real fond of people. He like Middle bit - and thats about it. If I go to catch him I swear he is planning 42 ways to bite me, but if the kiddo goes to catch him, he saunters right up and actually is NICE!1

Sunday Stash Report

Wow - what a week!!! My sweet dear ol' dad had to have surgery - and he was so kind and considerate - that he chose a hospital right next to my favorite quilt shop!!!! Can you believe it? Well - okay - there were 3 shops in the near area!!

And all the damage I did was to by some Kona Cottons. I bought a white and a cream - for backgrounds for two quilts that I pulled all the other fabrics for. So you know it will be 2014 before I start... but I HAVE the fabric!!

Last week we were at a dog show, so I missed posting my report - so two weeks combined!

Fabrics Used this last 2 weeks:    6.5 yards -
Borders for my Red quilt, and the start of UFO #8 - althought it was kitted it had not been counted out of my stash - yay me!)

Fabrics Used Year to Date:         271.72 yards

Fabrics purchased last 2 weeks:   8 1/4 yards
Fabrics In Year to date(both donated and purchased)    183.04

Fabric Busted Year to Date:            88.68 yards

Stash Report Sunday

So far - today has been an awesome day! We had a little Quilt of Valor sew time, and got QOV's bound, tops finished, and backings made - and a LOT of chit chat!!!  So while I used up some fabric today - I don't quite think it zeroed out what I bought this last week. We went to Grand Junction and there is the cutest fabric shop there - and they just have this cool stuff... and it Jumped into my arms!!

This fabric is part of the Under our Wings program from Quilts of Valor - they got all these fabric companies to produce Red White and Blue fabrics - and I loved these!!!

And then for the girly side in me - some bright stuff  - that I told Wrangler Man I had a plan for.... I just don't have than plan in my mind yet! But I have the fabric!!

So my stash report:

Fabrics Added this Week:   4.77 yards
QOV Fabrics added this week:   5.75 yards
Fabrics added YTD:              174.92 yds   ( gulp)

Fabric Used this Week:     4.805
Fabrics Used YTD:           265.224 Yrds

Total Fabrics BUSTED:    90.30 yards

Which tells me I need to start sewing faster! I kind of had a lull this last week due to our trip, hiking, fishing and chasing boys... but I got re-inspired today with all the QOV sew-ists!

While we were on our trip tho - I took some books! I got "Bride's House" by Sandra Dallas - oh lawsy that was a great book. I am ready to head to Georgetown to see the house!!!

And this one: A rivers Edge by Marie Bostwick. I love her books!

Check out the other stash reports - and find one that makes my purchases look small please - and let me know about it - so I can go - hey Wrangler Man look how much this quilter bought - shouldn't I shop a little more.... and then he will say that I am not to obsessed yet *cough cough*

Sundays Stash Report

This week has gone by ultra quick! I am shocked that it is Sunday all ready!!

I went and browsed at a quilt shop and left a list.... we will see if I have any stash to add for next week......I left LOTS of hints *grin*

So the report:
Fabric In this Week:         0 yards

Total Stash Busted:     96.02 yards gone

Tomorrow I am talking at a Quilt Guild in Golden, so I have been going through a lot of my pictures to get things ready, and I saw some of my bambinos so many years ago. How did they get to be so big so quick?

Look at this cutie patootie - this is up in Wyoming on the back of the tractor.
This little dude just turned 10 ( HOW????)

And here we are bulldogging the roping dummy... he was (is) so adorable.
All the cowboys just loved him!!

And this cute little boy to the left is almost as tall as I am, and the little cutie on the right - she is graduating from High school next week. Again I ask you HOW????

Oh Heavens, be still my heart. are they not adorable??? And one of these knuckleheads will get his license this summer.... maybe.... if he can bribe me with enough chocolate, and fabric ( remember the list I left??)!!!

The big guy here - he still looks exactly the same... HOW?? How come I look older???

Along with that though - I now have better and MORE fabric :-)
So it's all good right?
