Finished on Friday

The Giveaway Post is Here

This has been on my machine this week - and it was fun, and a challenge. This quilt was made for a man, so we wanted something masculine on it... however... there were lots of big open spaces . This client loves feathers in the big open spaces, but she really wanted this more manly....

It was a star Block of the Month - and the star blocks finished at 16 1/2 inches - so you can see how big the open spaces were.... I decided to use lines.... lots of lines... and a few circles/

I used lines in the borders too - Lots and lots of lines....

And then ran some circles into the center of the blocks , and even in the setting blocks on the sides..
I thought it turned out pretty cool, but the best part was seeing my clients face! She was happy. This is for her husband for his birthday and their anniversary. She was a smart cookie and married him on his birthday!!  What a great way to remember ( or not forget in my case) a date!!
