Purple and Green Churndash Quilt

I obviously need a better name for this quilt - but at this moment - it is called Purple and Green Churndash!!  Pretty fitting right?

AND!! the best news! it is finished!!

It is 64 x 64 inches and so very fun and bright

Next to my barn quilt for fun

Don;t look at the bottom - the doors aren't up yet

( it was - emphasis on the was- summer)

And the back!

Isn't that fun too?  

We were struggling against the wind, so thought we would use a corral gate

and that's when we realized why the wind was blowing

Sometimes you really should look around!

Moo Time Quilt ( Its a finish!!)

I got this adorable Layer cake from Sew Downtown ( our local shop in Greeley) and I just couldn't cut into it - so I used the whole 10 inch square and I am so glad I did.

You might have already seen this quilted - but it is back to tell you - IT IS BOUND!!! Oh yes it is!!!  Can you believe it - Bound before the end of the year!!!

And - Because I wasn't as organized as I normally am ( Ok - that's enough laughing from you all!)  I had to take the photo all by myself.  And this is the one time I didn't cuss the wind - it held that quilt up pretty nicely!   Yay wind .... and now since I am done with the wind - it can go away!

This was me being talented and holding with one hand, shooting with the other - you are impressed aren't you?

And just so you can see the texture of the quilting

Yesterday afternoon I was out on my shooting excursion for the week - Look what I found!!! This was on the top post of the entrance to a ranch!!   I couldn't help myself, I had to hop out and take a photograph of two!!!  

It says singer on it!

I had to ask my son if that was a song, or if it was just stuck in my head. He told me it was the theme song to Spiderman way back in the day.....   Sheesh - he knows how to burst a bubble ( ha ha)

I might have another finish for this week.  It is a week in history!!

A couple of you have asked about quilting with fleece

I Love it!

I think it is warm and snuggly and really shows the quilting ( yay)

I do use batting with the quilts. I think it just adds a little bit of Quilty like ness 

( I have no idea if that is a word or not)

But when we quilted a cotton Top with the fleece batting, it sort of wrinkled up more that we wanted

so I think the batting helps keep it Quilty-er

Remembering..... The Pink....

I do not have a lot of pink in my stash right now .... which is alright... but all week I was thinking - where did it go?   Have I lost it ? Did I store it someplace SO safe.... that I just can't remember?

And then it hit me!!  I have USED a lot of my pinks!!

Purple and Lime Quilt

Since I had the Purple thread on my machine to bind Wrangler Mans quilt... I thought - Oh I could bind another purple quilt.... so I got to it!

This Purple and Lime Quilt is now ...... FINISHED!!

it measures 65 x 74 inches

I used Quilters Dream - Dream Puff for the batting.

I love the loft that it gave this quilt

Plus it is a real Light Weight warmth!

It is bound in light purple.

And!! The back.

I love this little purple print!

Finished.... the Blue and White quilt

It sort of needs a name though... It sort of reminds me of those Dutch Dishes that were blue and white?

It is bound! That is the first thing I would like you to notice please ;-)

The sun was shining for it's photo shoot!  Which is good, since yesterday when I was going to take it's photo - it was raining ( or snaining - there was snow mixed in there!)

I can't remember exactly how many blues are in this - but I had such fun digging in my blue bucket to find just the right color.

The quilting was fun and crazy!

And of course - the back. I actually had this awesome blue ready for this quilt, before the quilt was finished!!!

Eye Boggle

My son has named this quilt Eye Boggle.... he says it is bright and boggles his eyes... Makes sense to me.

But I LOVE it - ! I love bright colors, and this one has them all!

 I got very brave - taking this photo... it was -9 outside. But oh so sunny! I wanted to take advantage of the light!

And I tried to make sure I didn't step in the front snow - to make it look pretty - I forgot about the deck behind it... oh well.

And of course - laying on the back of the couch.

I need a Catchy Title

but I can't think of one - I think that maybe since we have not been over freezing for a while - my thinkers are broken.....

I have some new Photo software - and I am having a little bit TOO much fun learning it:

First:  Butterfly Love - I love that I could combine the back and the front into one photo... I am sure this is old technology to some - but I just never took the time to figure it out.

Cyber Monday??

I did the Cyber Monday thing this morning.... my computer is all worn out! I think it would like me to go sew now!

Today is quiet around our house - my oldest has gone back to college, the other two are back in school ( albiet very RELUCTANTLY) , my dogs are all tired, the horses are enjoying the last warm day ....

I have been editing, and organizing photos - its quite fun. I do Family and Senior Photography, as well as events ( like sports) so I am trying to get those to all of the locations they are supposed to go AND! I am even beating all the deadlines - go me!

Check out this little cutie.... she really makes me want another one... Wrangler Man says No - spoil sport...

She is adorable ;-)

This little angel is just so sweet - and a total Daddy's girl.... although she is a Momma's girl too - smart cookie!
