Teal ( the NOT RSC color) progress..

As we all know now - Teal was not the RSC color for April - but that is okay - because - I Like it!! and it is fun and ... it is keeping me out of too much trouble... so my boo boo... is working out for me!

But first!!!

The Quilt Police DO exist.... this one though - EASILY Bribed - and do I mean easy!!!!

Here is where I am with the Teal Blocks - I think... I think.... I need to make more to make it wider - I was thinking I could use borders to do so, but I don't think I will like it - as it is I think it will be about 40 ish by 60 ish as a center - And I really think that will be too small - even if I add a lot of borders... so I am thinking that I will start digging for more teal scraps and just keep working on it.

Maybe if Teal is called - I will be so ahead of myself I will get it quilted in that month!

Look at my girls - Placing all pretty like. They did SO good - One of my cows was not behaving, then helped me move him and then they placed like this while I did my fencing work - but they kept a keen eye on that steer.... he was not allowed near me at all haha!

Just a view - we were out in one of the pastures and the clouds were just SOOO cool, I like the framing of it- so I snapped!! ( a photo, I saved the real snapping for when the chocolate runs out)

This is baby Reno - who is not such a baby any more - he will be a year old at the end of May - and his Momma - is due to have another baby in June.... Isn't he so cute tho!!!!

Happy Stitching!

I never tire of your diamond chains, and the teal is beautiful. Your girls are quite picturesque. I can't believe Reno is so big. Love the views at your place - you can see a storm coming for miles!

How is Reno almost a year old?? The teal looks great and I like the idea of being ahead for the month it is called. :)

Oh those teal blocks - so pretty! I agree that more blocks to make it wider will make it a better proportion. Reno, and your other outdoor pictures made me miss "spring on the farm". Dave and I were just talking yesterday (as we drove to our granddaughter's softball game) that we both miss the farm most in the spring - baby calves and pastures turning green. The horses seemed to kick up their heals in excitement.

I'm impressed that you still had teal left after making all those blocks! I like where you plan to go with the top and when you will quilt it!! Baby Reno has grown so much. . .how can a year have passed so soon???? Good girls to keep that pesky steer where he belonged!

The teal blocks are lovely! Who cares if you chose the wrong color for RSC? The result is fantastic. Love that photo of the sky. I take photos too, when the sky looks gorgeous like that. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

The teal blocks are looking good, but I see why you think you need more columns, it does look a bit skinny. Go glad your girls have figured out how to get along and are so good at protecting you.

I don't quilt, so my opinion doesn't count, but teal is one of my two favorite colors these days, so you can't go wrong in my eyes! Love the glimpses of your outdoor life too! Wonderful.

Teal is my daughter’s favorite color – who could resist such a calming (to me) color? Your quilt is already so pretty! Ah ha! That explains their protective glare – keeping you safe! The red roof peaking out is such a great addition to those beautiful clouds! Reno is indeed cute! Take good care!

Your GIRLIES!!!! I died. They're the best. What does that mean 'placing'? My dad's side is all farmers who mostly had cows but also a couple horses because they loved them and would ride and/or hitch them up to the sleigh/wagon (Percherons). Looks like you raise them? I know Bella is a pibble; does the other (can't recall her name) have some pitty in her too?

Your teal blocks are gorgeous, it's going to be a beautiful quilt, and it's a bonus if you are ahead of the schedule ;) Cute dogs and baby horse, your scenery is a great place to take photos!
Thank you so much for sharing, and linking up.

Love this one in teal! Actually, I loved it in every colour you did so far. Will you make one of each colour? Or just using what you have too many of? You sure do have a lot of black too, haha. The girls are so cute. Is it just a bad posture or is the black one has something with her front left paw? It looks crooked in the picture. I hope she is fine. LOVE Reno! with his puffy short hair. Too cute. Enjoy! ;^)
