I had planned to have at least a finished top - but the blocks had different ideas!!! At our Sew Day we Started working on the Jacobs Ladder/Road to California blocks - enough of them to Make TWO more Quilts of Valor.... We had fun - we goofed off, and a lot of blocks got made.
I came home and laid the first quilt out on the design wall - some of the rows were even stitched together - so you all - we stitched...
But as I started staring at it....
Do you see what I saw??? haha!!!
I will get that fixed up - and finish the last block then get to working on the borders - and Bam!! it should be done in no time right?
We also got to award 4 Quilts of Valor - 2 Marines and 2 Air Force - all in Iraq/Afghanistan - OEF and OIF .
They were super cool - the two in the middle are related ;-)
So that's about all I got really DONE this week ...How about you?

That is such a pretty pattern, the reds and blues make it pop. Love those dear men with their quilts.
Your red, white, and blue Jacob's Ladder blocks are fabulous together! The only problem block I can see is second from the bottom on the right side - the colors are reversed? That would make a cool design, too, though! Happy Friday!
Yep, you will get that fixed and BAM it will be finished. You are amazing with all the finishes you have!!!!
Oh man - another beautiful QOV in progress. It's so interesting how those basic units like the HST and 4-patches can make so many different layouts.
That's always a bigger risk when sewing in a group, but it looks like it should be a quick fix. How awesome to get enough blocks made for 2 more QOVs!
Well, at least you noticed it before you had the whole thing quilted and bound! I love this pattern.
Your Jacob's Ladder is very striking. I know it will be well-loved!
I'm so glad you saw the 'oops' in time! Beautiful presentation!
Sometimes a little accomplishment is just as great as a big accomplishment. But you awarded quilts, so a successful week.
Jacob's Ladder always looks good to me, even when it has an "oops". Those are great quilts for great men. Enjoy! ;^)
Don't 'cha just love it when you're sewing along, having a good time and then realize "ugh!" now how did I do that?!? Easy fix though and the borders will go on in no time.
As always beautiful awarded quilts! I joined my MIL's guild and have a kit for one that I look forward to making up and seeing awarded for Veteran's Day this year.
The Jacob Ladder blocks make a very nice quilt. Very cool quilts for some cool vets. Have a great weekend.
I love that the title of this link up includes "Or Not Finished"! You and your group made great progress and had a good time doing it! It is so wonderful what guilds like yours are doing for America's veterans. They need to know we appreciate them and honor their sacrifices.
I love the Jacob's Ladder quilt. I do see the problem. It is a good thing that block is not already attached. The quilts of valor are very pretty.
Your quilts of valor is a great idea. I don't know of anything like that, here, in the UK. And the Jacob's Ladder quilt is wonderful. I love the colours :)
Haha those blocks sure had minds of their own! Love that you’re getting two more QOVs out of it—and wow, four awarded this week! That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see it all come together!
Some of my best friends are quilters. Always fun to get together and work on a project together. Glad you caught the oops before the quilt was put together. Gail at the cozy quilter.
Yep, saw the goof. Luckily it wasn't sewn to its friends. Nice collection of quilts were shared at the presentation. Looking forward to seeing the new quilt together.
