Starry Star Finish!!! and !! Finished (or not) Friday!

 Happy Happy Friday you all!!!!

Mine went fast - My husband left to Arizona to go help his parents come back for the summer, so that left me single ranching it! I got to make all the decisions... and I have decided that I need a Fabric Barn and a Guest barn and .... oh wait - I'm sure that will be vetoed haha

He came back and we got to spend a little time with my in-laws . They always seem to have such a great time in Arizona over the winter.

On to Quilting:

My Friend Julie made this top for Quilts of Valor. She gave me the top - I gave her some quilted Quilts for Hospice that she will bind - I liked that trade haha!! Kept me out of the Binding world for a bit!!

Isn't that a cool one!! I love the color combo - and yes I know- Red white and Blue - but the mix of blues is just so soothing... I love it!!!

It is ready to go on to my QOV group for binding ;-)  ( See - avoided it again ha!!)

I am also working on a T shirt Quilt - so hopefully you will see that soon as a COMPLETE finish - and yes - I do have to bind that one.... send me good vibes!!

NOW!! it is your turn!! What wonderful things did you finish ( or not) this week?

This is a very pretty quilt, the backing fabric is perfect! Binding is not my favorite part of quilting either. Happy stitching! Good luck with the fabric barn and the guest barn.

That's a beautiful quilt and your quilting just sets if off! I like your fabric barn idea. ;)

I forget if you told me where in AZ your inlaws go. I think the fun there begins with the weather being nicer so one can do more outside.

I love all those blues together, too! And that swirly fireworks backing fabric is fabulous. You two are a great team! Happy Friday, Alycia!

I love this quilt and I do think a combo barn would be perfect....guest and fabric! Hope the single ranching went well.

Oh yes, start that project now! - A fabric barn and quilt barn. Hee! Hee! I keep hinting around for the same thing but I get a veto too. The Quilt of Valor is a beauty! Have a wonderful weekend.

Great combo of blocks on this one. Love how she laid it out too. The framed stars is a different one for me. I like it. The blue print on the back is awesome! Wow. Great job on the quilting too. Well played, girls! ;^)

Beautiful quilt! Arizona is wonderful in the winter. We've spent time there twice now and are already looking forward to next year.

I enjoyed reading about your plans for your property while your husband was away collecting his parents. Bet that is a universal fantasy. I know as we contemplate moving to a substantially smaller space in a few years I ponder the difference between going there as a singe person vs married one from a space constraint perspective. Love that fireworks fabric for the backing.

Woo hoo for red white and blue! Good luck with the binding! I recommend ice tea to keep hydrated, and chocolate for energy.

Love the idea, I wished I had a fabric barn. If I had one, it would be quite empty!! Right now my fabric fits in one small closet. Every time I see quilts for QOV, I feel warm inside and happy to know that someone is caring enough to spend time to make them. Strange enough, I love binding because it's the last step toward finishing.
