Once upon a time - I read SoScrappys Blog post and saw the word Teal - so I assumed that meant that April was the month of teal. Imagine my surprise when I saw SewPreeti's IG post - that she was doing RED for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.... Therefore - I confused the colors - but!!
Its All GOOD!! I have a lot of both!!
Originally I had pulled teals out - I have a TON of 3 1/2 inch strips. We went to Belize - we saw lots of teal and aqua and green and it was all gorgeous together - so I envisioned a Sea themed quilt..
And I also wanted to stick with my diamond Chain/Buckeye Beauty blocks: But you know what??? Using 3 1/2 inch squares makes small blocks!! I am used to my 5 inch squares - but I persisted:
I tried one with grey - and I like it - but its too muddy for me, for the look I was aiming for. Then I tried navy and White - I have a lot of that already cute into 3 1/2 inch pieces too... so that is the direction I was going......
Until I went back and read Angela's blog and the color was RED!!! I want to do red too!!! I have red scraps!!!
The girls.... See the Fabric is downstairs, the sewing machine is upstairs - they were saying - PICK A FLOOR woman!!!
One can never have too many projects in motion correct? I can work on Teal and Red and More red, and maybe those two colors even go together??? hmmm - I'll have to think on that one While I do my Red color research for the month.
PS!!! I was glad I changed my rotary blade on the First ( NO FOOLIN') it has gotten a HUGE workout this week.... Cuz I may have started a few other projects......

May have started a few other projects 🤣 Isn't that the way it goes.
I actually love teals and reds together!
I didn't get to my RSC project till this weekend, so I saw the post about the red. Looks like you've got a good start on a couple of fun projects. Looking forward to seeing what else you've got going.
Ooh would love to see all the new projects. Red/teal what's the difference? You are making progress on both so you'll be ahead of the curve when teal is the color! Go you!
I jump started with teal, also!!! Now I'm moving on to teal + red!
It's funny that I'm willing to change out the needle on my machine but not my rotary blade... thanks for the reminder. I'll get mine changed today, too!
I think that Belize tuned you into the teal color, that's why! Nice to see you trying out several new ideas! Fun stuff!
I love those teals - don't tuck them away! And your reds are positively delicious.
You definitely can have multiple projects on the go at any given time! (Ask me how I know, lol!) Both your teals and your reds look so pretty - it will be fun to work with either color.
Hah! I love the expression on the girls' faces. . .definitely their expression reads pick a floor! Both colors are going to stitch beautifully. Isn't it crazy how many scraps in various color ways we actually have???
I confused the message, too -- so I've used both colors!
Red and aqua/teal look good together, so it's all good. The dogs were probably confused if you were up and down those stairs too often.
