Because you don't know a quilter who can only work on one project at a time...
I had all my Teal Buckeyes up on the design wall - and I thought - I need to lay out my Patriotic ones and see how many more I need to make -
The teal ones are made with 3 1/2 inch squares - so each half square is 3 inches before going into the block... the Patriotic ones are made with 5 inch squares - so each half square is 4 1/2 before going into the block....
Its actually quite a size difference!!!!
There is a Winery in Eastern Colorado called Country Roads Wines and Vines ( or Vines and Wines)
We headed out there Saturday to meet up with one of my kids and have a picnic!!
Selfie for the wine!! ... oh wiat!! THE WIN!!! the WIN!!!
Avert your eye if you don't like scary wildlife.. We were hiking and starting to think about rattlers - but I didn't think they'd be out yet.
But guess what!!! We found one right by our ARENA!!! Do they not know they aren't allowed!! Do they not read the signs, listen to the rants and the screams????
SCARY PHOTO OVER
He has been dispatched - after I almost stepped on him!!!!
Happy Tuesday!!

The Buckeye block makes such a pretty quilt, I never tire of your combos. Guess the snakes are looking for some sun to warm up!
Amazing difference between the two block sizes!!! Both are very pretty! The snake is NOT so appreciated when he's in your space!
Thanks for sharing the size difference between the Buckeye blocks; that is quite different. And oh my goodness, I'm glad that you avoided stepping on that rattlesnake.
It's amazing how just a inch or two in the block components make such a huge difference on the size. Both projects are looking good. My Guy is out checking bird boxes again so I asked if there were ticks our or not. He said no, but I've already found one in the laundry room where he dropped his clothes after his excursion. Best to be prepared.
These blocks look wonderful in EVERY color and size don't they? I handed out a pattern to our QOV group ladies at the beginning of the month. Hoping I get back lots of them so we can make another quilt from them.
EEK! I don’t like snakes! But I love your blocks.
These are fabulous. Live both colorways. Don't love rattlers š¤£
That is quite the size difference in the two blocks! I hear you about the rattlesnake. We use to stomp along the trail to encourage them to move off. What a relief to know that snake in the photo won't be returning!
Oh, I like both of those quilts a lot!
Mmmm, nope, nope, nope. I do not like snakes AT. ALL. I do like your quilts. :)
