Carpenter Star Quilt and Finished!!! or not Friday

I made this quilt a few years ago as a way to follow some Quilting Videos that were put up by a friend.

The quilt is a Carpenter Star - the blocks were 7 inches - maybe 6 1/2 after the half squares were made.

( someone always asks and if you have known me, you realize.. I am not good at remembering details!!!)

The fun part was doing all those feathers - I had a fun time with them. Put some Josh Groban Music on - and quilt away!!

And I used White on the back so I could see the quilting.

A friend of mine is in a Veterans Group - they raise money and support a LOT of other Veterans groups - so we thought that maybe they could use this as a raffle quilt this year.... so!! It is on its way to him.

Which brings us to you!!! What have you been working on?

What is Finished ( or not) this week - Link up your direct link, visit lots of other - offer encouragment!!!

and have a great weekend!!

The fun you had quilting the feathers really shows, and I love it when you can see the quilting detail so beautifully on the back of a quilt. I hope it raises a good amount of money!

The quilting is spectacular Alycia. I love Carpenter Square quilts - that block has long been a favorite of mine.

Lovely job on the quilting Alycia. I must be the only longarm quilter that despises quilting feathers :)
