Designed by Kevin the Quilter....
Is slowly but surely getting there!!!
I sorta like it!! I tell you - Had I seen this I would have been - no way - Its too hard - but I think that is the beauty of Mystery Quilts - You make something you may not have just because you are intimidated - and each time I learn something new... a new technique, a new thought process, or just a new quilt idea in general .
I have the other three corners laid out and ready to stitch, and then we will keep on going and see what I make of it!!
And!! I cleaned in my studio a bit - I have 2 scrap boxes - these are the large boxes - They weigh about 8-10 pounds each and they are all yours... I have two - they are $20 for flat rate shipping - if you want one of them email me at: AlyciaQuilts @ Gmail . com ( remove the spaces)
First two to claim them - i can bill you thru paypal and Bam! They will be heading your way for lots of scrappy goodness!
Update... The Scraps are happly rehomed!! Whoot Whoot!!
and just because
It was a crazy busy week
and a crazier Weekend - but

I want your scraps, but please don’t send them to me. I decided this week I am going to start tackling my own. I have bits and bobs all over the place. I th8nk I’m going to use Bonnie Hunter’s scrap user system, but I’m not really sure. I just keep finding scraps everywhere I look. I love the idea of sending them away. I am on a fabric diet. I just finished two tops and two backs that I made entirely from stash. I expect to finish a third this week. I especially won’t buy for backs. I have way too much fabric! One of the backs I just finished used a dusty rose pin dot that must be 25 years old! Enjoying your blog.
OMG, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your SSSSM. I love how you've used plaids and how it looks so warm and rich. Keep going, it's so worth it!!!
Your mystery quilt is so pretty - love all the blues. I have been cleaning my sewing room too. So far I have taken the non-craft stuff out of there and haven't tackled the craft supplies yet, except to consolidate them where I can.
Ah scraps. Box them up and send them to someone else. It's got to be a win-win for the right person. I'm trying to keep mine tamed although I don't think I'm having a whole lot of success! I'm just hoping to get some of mine cleared off the cutting table! Enjoy your week.
Of COURSE, you used plaids!!! It is looking really good, Alycia. Can't wait to see it grow!
Your mystery quilt is a beauty! It's going to be so cuddly and calming when it's finished. I have bags of scraps here and feel so guilty for not using them. Maybe I'll send mine off somewhere, too. :) Your last photo sure is calming and quieting to the soul.
I love the colors and the plaids of your SSSSM quilt. Keep on sewing!
Your top is FABULOUS so far - love the fabrics you're using. As for the scraps - I must decline as I have more than enough already. Hope they are adopted soon!
Oooh, pretty!
1. Do I see aliens?
2. How big are those squares? 1 1/2" or larger.
The only way I would take a box of your scraps is if could sent you a box of mine.
would make an amazing flannel scrap quilt, this is lovely,,,,want the box, but sure dont need it,,,,forcing a no, lol,,,thank you for the offer though
I've been using Bonnie Hunter's scrap system for years, and I love it! I've made several quilts from my scraps, am working on 2 more now, and her system just keeps everything standardized and easy to use.
I hope you find a taker for those scraps. I am thinking this is a great approach. I try to keep up but have a garbage bag full in the last year or so...yuk. I am sure you will have a splendid vacation.
Lovely quilt!!
Love the contrast of your scraps!
This is gonna be a stunning, masculine quilt! I wonder whose this will be at your house? LOLOLOL
Wow! Love your colors/fabric choices for Kevin's Mystery. Sensational definitely applies to that scrappy quilt!
