Cowboy Shirts and !! FONF!!! and TGIFF!!!!

 I got a finish.... I got a finish....

One of my Sons is a Wyoming Cowboy.... and we found this really cool fabric at a Quilt shop in Laramie. So he bought enough for a shirt - and asked me to make him one..... and at the rate that it took me to make it..... its a good thing there are clothing stores!!

But!! I love this one - that Fabric is actually a batik type fabric, and it is really pretty!!

In the other news.... who is up for some Mystery Fabric?   I have been sorting through my fabrics and there are quite a few that I just won't use - some florals, some kids, some solids, some Repro's, and some scraps - Most of my scraps are large - the little ones go to dog beds....

so I thought I would stuff those USPS LARGE Flat rate boxes - they measure 12 x 12 x 5 1/2 and offer them to you - for $30 total.  If your interested - either email me direct or leave me a comment with your email and we can do paypal or venmo and I will send out fabric so you can stitch your heart away!!!

And now it is your turn :

  • Link up your lastest Finish ( or not) post - please use the direct link

Log Cabin Loonies .... and Finished ( or Not ) Friday AND!!!! TGIF Friday!!!

You all!!! I get to be the DOUBLE HOST This weekend!!! And you know what... DOUBLE FINISHES right???

So lets just get to my First Finish!!!  A while back ( Ahem, don't even think it!!) Julie K started a little Log Cabin Loonies sew along. And I kept looking at these fabrics - and decided to jump in. Well this week! I decided that that top needed some quilting and!!! sit down for this... Binding.... oh ya!!

What is this world coming too... Binding more than one quilt this year... crazy!!

And look at how pretty that looks on my refinished wood floor!!! I haven't moved furniture back in, because - well - I am painting now... and may have a few other things I want to do first.... Who ever let me start the refinish project.... your in trouble!! haha!

This is the back. It's kinda  a crazy paisley and I wasn't sure I was going to like it for anything, until I finished this top! I think it goes with it just perfect!!

And Finish ( sort of) Number 2: Along the way of my redecorating, I had some crazy ideas. And when you have a crazy idea - you have to see it to the end. I LOVE photography, and I LOVE using my photos as decorations - and now!!

I have NEW KITCHEN mats!!! I am so excited!!!And Guess what!! If you want to bring home a little bit of my country to your house - you can have one too! We have CATTLE DRIVE ( Or Spring Spa Day)   or The Three Amigos  available right now.   I just love these - and again.... check out that wood floor!!! NICE right?

There is actually one more Finish to share. And I will be honest, this one doesn't quite excite me as much as my quilts. But A lot of you have been praying for and thinking of my Mom... and now you know .

Alright so NOW!!! Let's get to those Finishes!!

Serape Weave - IT is Finished!!

Welcome to TGFFriday!!!

This finish has been a long time in the making, but January 1st... I made the decision... I WILL FINISH this!! And then I ignored my family, and cooking and chores.... just kidding.... but Ta Da!

Here is my finish!!

We had a little bit of a snowy Sunny day - and so we decided to go for a hike on our place. I thought this would be a great spot for a quilt photo session!!

Here is a close up of the quilting

and because I like flannel
and I might be a little bit selfish
( as in If I put something girly on the back I might get the quilt!)

I put Flamingos with sunglasses in flannel as the back!!

The last couple of days we have had snow
Blizzard conditions ( but Not really - it was just windy)
and cold weather

and hopefully will get some real snow
so I am all ready to curl up on the couch and snuggle!

This is just a funny photo
I thought it was kind hilarious
We do a little small game hunting in the winter and the hike was a combo - Photo shoot, check fences, see if there was some small game, and then in turned into a foot race to see who could get to the fence the fastest

You can not say that we are bored around here
PS - if you are interested I have rejuvenated my photo blog of the things we see
https://alyciaclicks.blogspot.com/

This is my mare checking out our photo shoot... and following us
I am pretty sure she was laughing inside

now it is time to Link up your Friday Finishes ( or almost....)  Show them off - let us oogle!!

TGIFFriday - Christmas Edition

Happy Finished Friday!!!

I am so excited to have THREE finishes today!! I worked on them in secret, and even kept it from my husband... which is a real challenge!!

I first thought about giving them as Christmas Presents.... but realized that they would look better all during the Christmas Season. BUT!! I had one small problem!  One of my kids lives out of state and we had to wait for him to get home.

He thought I was really excited to see him, but really.... it was all about me! I wanted them to open their quilts SO I COULD SHARE THEM on my blog.... ha ha ha

So here you go:

My Kids!!  ( and a little bit of mess in the background... I wanted to show real life you know - so you all wouldn't think I was perfect ......  snort snort)

Tada!! Their Christmas Quilts!!

I chose fabrics that they liked, and a theme that kinda represents this year.  Each one of them had fleece on the back - and I forgot to show you that!!

There was  Diagonal, Computers and Sharks on the fleece - so you can imagine it!

and they already covered a kid! Ha!

Now link up your latest finish ( or almost finish ) and let us see whats up!
Please use the direct link so we can visit your post directly

TGIF Friday!!!!

Welcome to TGIF Friday hosted here!! I am so glad you came!! And I hope you have a good time seeing all the projects! I know I start in the morning checking them out and keep looking through the weekend - It inspires me!

I love Log Cabin Style Quilts, and I Love scrappy Quilts - and I seem to have a stockpile of scraps - I think they just migrate to my house.... so what's a girl to do????

Start Sewing Right?

I started these blocks with the cut offs of the Hot pink .... from making BINDING!! Who does that ( ha ha - I know you all do!!)

And this is the next one  - Although I have run into a problem.... I'd be glad for advice

My friend gave me this bag of scraps - and it looked like a lot! So! I started these blocks..... then I started trying to get them all to 15 inches square

and then my scraps started getting small - not large enough to use a 15 inch strip.... do I start making 15 inch strips to finish the rest of the blocks?  Or  do I go cut something ( hence making MORE scraps)   Or do I leave it as is - and smallish quilt?

Oh - well - and then I would have orphan blocks - because.... yea me - I started 20 of them.....

Link up to your finishes!!!   Let us see them all........................
