Pandemonium!!!

The Second Quilt in the awesome box that came from QuiltDiva Julie  is called

Pandemonium

I mean!! what a name right?

Are you ready to see it???

This one seemed better to hang on the cream trailer..... haha!

Julie combined a lot of different blocks in this one

But the theme?

PLAID!!!!

It was a bright sunny day - which I like for taking quilt photos, but it might have been to bright? I could see the quilting real well....

But it was hard to get a good photo of the quilt!

( which is why above, there is one on my wood floor!(

If I stepped back

I thought you could see more of the quilt, and less of the quilting...

This one is Bound, and washed, and sitting with Drama Queen... almost ready to go to Mercyful Quilts.

( I have one more to quilt and finish and then the box will be full)

Gratuitous Puppy Shot (here his is Bonnie haha!) You will note Puppy is old... but he still thinks he's a Puppy... I think he is 12 now??

Positivity 2022

Maybe you all have heard - but on the off chance you haven't....

Preeti is Hosting the Positivity 2022 QAL this year ( again?)

This will benefit Mercyful Quilts, for Pallative/Hospice care in California .

She has come up with a great schedule, and wonderful block tutorial and a due date

Due dates are VERY important... I hate being late to anything, therefore!  I need Due Dates.

She provided a REALLY cool block tutorial, and I, being one of NO patience, decided to jump right in.

Except....Sometimes I forget to read the instructions, and instead follow photos, and you know....

My first quilt will look just a little bit different... but its all good!

This is how it happened. I saw her instructions called for 2 1/2 strips and 5 inch squares. so I grabbed my 5 inch plaid square box. Because PLAID!! and I grabbed my 2 1/2 inch square bin and I got to making the blocks.

And I had a stack of them, and decided it was time to turn in... chores start at 5 around here ....

BUT!!! at 2:30 in the morning I sat upright and said - oops - I don't think I followed her instructions right... I can't cut and twist them..... So I pulled up her instructions, and read them... Oh!!

Did you know if you READ you can learn something 🤣😂😅

But its all good - I like where this one is going, and after I finish it... I am really going to try her tutorial.  I think this will still be good for Positivity 2022 - and it will go there anyways ;-)

My Mom always told me I should learn patience.... here is proof ;-)

Positivity Extras and some Orange

so...... As I was cleaning up from My Positivity quilt...

I found!!

An extra!!

Anyone want one completed block and three more ( same color way) cut out?

Then Since my cutting board was clean....

I Cut!

I decided to join in the blog hop - hosted by Creatin' in the sticks!

So this will be my secret stitching until my assigned day in August ( the 18th I think) and then!!

you will get to see what this is along with.... a Tutorial!! Oh ya!!

Positivity ( the TOP) and!!!! Finished ( or not) Friday! and!!! TGIF Friday!!

What a week - it was crazy busy and lots of fun and! I stitched..... makes it all the better!!

We went to the Home Run Derby in Denver Monday Night and oh my stars!!! it was crazy!! after all this lockdown it was so weird to see so many people in one spot - but what fun!. The last time I was on the streets of Denver you were all masked and walking in groups, staying away from people - not this time!!

And then I got to work on my Positivity Top - and the dog and I looked for some fun places to try to take a photo. Puppy is not much help when it comes to photos - he is not tall enough!!

But this is what we found:

My hay storage trailer!! haha!!! This is an old , still usable trailer! I have been known to pull it to the hay field and have them stack the hay in here - then! it is under cover ( saves it from the weather) and when I need to go feed in a different pasture I can pull it out that way... I am all about the easy peasy in life !!

The backing in now made, everything is pinned and ready to load on the LongArm - and! When I finish the next couple of Client quilts I am going to sneak it on it there!

And now... the moment you have been waiting for.... YOUR turn!!   IT is BOTH Finished ( or Not) Friday and TGIF Friday!! I LOVE double hosting - twice as many projects to check out!!! I LOVE it!!

Link up your Finishes ( or not ones)!!!!

*again - Direct Links please ;-)

Positivity Blocks, a Gingham top and Scrap Blocks

This weekend was Cr-azy!!!!  we had Heat and a huge thunderstorm, and about 17 inches of rain ... okay kidding - but there was a ALOT of rain, Hail and strong winds  - so you know when storms happen - I get no stitching done.

I am too busy watching the rain - and of course the lightening. Some of the lightening was hitting at the same time it was thundering. My dog and I cuddled.   and we watch for where the lightening hit... No fires ( shew!!!)

Positivity is growing!! And I decided to cut 10 more out, I had been doing them 2 blocks at a time. So now I am prepped for the week? Month? All the info and the pattern for Positivity can be found here:

Sew Preeti;s Positivity QAL

Got my Little Gingham Top Done - I think mine is 50 x 58 .

and!!! My scrappy Leader Ender Blocks have grown into this:

Not sure if I will make more - or just start adding corners??? Who knows - we will see where the happy leads today ;-)

Quilt away!!!!

The Positivity QAL and a Gingham Quilt

If you remember - Sew Pretti is hosting the Positivity QAL - to benefit Mercyful Quilts - and!! it started this weekend!!

So what is  girl to do - but see if she can follow directions and start a block ( or more)

And so! I did.... I have quite  few more cut out now!  These are pretty fun - and the pattern is on Pretti's blog:   Positivity QAL

Awhile back I was reading Nancy's Grace and Peace blog and she kept showing these cute Gingham quilts - kind a buffalo plaid looking kind  ( go look here: Gingham Quilts ) and I kept thinking I want to try one.

This was the weekend to dive in

I have all these rowed and up on the wall:

Never mind that I just pinned them over the other things up there - it just adds dimension right???  I think that will be a cute one and it will measure about 49 x 58 inches.

I also spent time working on my kitchen and my bathroom remodel -until the rain made us stop. I was painting trim outside.... that doesn't work in the rain. I had to move my operation inside...
