January RSC color was Pink.... and I got wild and crazy and had a plan, and it was a little crazy - but yet!!!
I persisted!!!
It was originally called the Triad Top - as I used funky colorways.
I used all the colorways - the Complementary ( green) , the Triad ( Light blue and Yellow) , the Monochrome, ( Pink) and then!! We decided that it looked like confetti, and then - it became EASTER EXPLODED - so I had ... I just absolutely had to quilt EASTER EGGS on it.
I am having way too much fun with this one. Now I used a strange batting on this one. I had it in my stash and it was puffy, it is not the normal batting I use. It was stiffer ....
I was concerned at how it would turn out since the batting wasn't drapey, but after taking the quilt of the machine, It got softer. Now that is it bound I will probably wash it and see what happens.
It turned out okay - but I think I will stick with my Quilters Dream Dream Puff for fluffy batting.
It Is FINISHED!! Or not!! Friday!!

Oh, that's a quilt full of good fun and smiles from the title to the quilting! Well done!
Beautiful colors and quilting! Well at least you used up the batting!
Congrats on a very fun finish.
Wild maybe, but quite pretty!
That is a fun bunch of Easter eggs! Perfect colors and quilting, too. Happy Friday, Alycia!
I love your Easter quilt! And that puffy bathing looks great with the quilting
My first thought, admittedly, was wha batting did Alycia use? Then you answered that question in the post. Too bad you don't know what it is. It would be perfect for trapunto work. Definitely a great quilt to be enveloped by to feel the warmth and love.
What a fun Easter quilt! There really is no better way to test out an unfamiliar batting than to just make a quilt with it, wash it, and see what happens.
Wow-this does look like easter egg colors gone wild! The quilting really shows up with the thicker batting.
