March Yellow RSC Steppers quilt

 Last week was Spring Break.

I like Spring Break.... but.. it messed up my time schedule, and no - I am not back to organized. but its all good... I got to see kids, my uncle and aunt visited, I cooked... A LOT.  My fridge is was full now.... anyone need leftovers??

I don't like leftovers... good thing my husband does, he is cooked for .... for the whole week.

Oh ya - we went Hiking, Jeeping, and Wine Tasting... I have photos.... beware ;-)

I Started working on my Yellow RSC Steppers quilt. and the yellows were SO bright, I thought the black would tone them down.

In my opinion , it did not... its all super busy.

But you know what?

I Like it... and that is all that matters ( okay not really, but sorta)

I stopped here and kept looking at it. It seemed unfinished...

So.............

I added a row. I like it better now... It seems finished.

Off to row it!!

Hi Alycia. Love your stepper quilt. I need to make up a few of those, if you dont mind. I signed up for H2H yesterday. It is my first time. I donate most of my quilts, so why not sign up. I prefer to avoid all the mailing costs and donate locally, but I can manage to mail off one or two to the larger organizations.

Our spring break is this week, though without kids in school and since I don't have to supervise library programming, it's not a big deal for us. (My calendar is still full with meetings.) I really, really like the stepper blocks! The bright colors are great.

Boy do I like your yellow and black stepper quilt. It looks great. Must try one I have a folder with your name it on my computer so I have no excuses since the pattern is in there. Are you doing one stepper quilt per month? You seem to make them pretty fast.

Yellow and black together is one of my favorite combinations for a quilt. Sounds like a busy and fun spring break, and at least you don't have to cook for your husband this week! ;)

I love your steppers quilt in all its busy-ness! May I suggest a border on the left and the bottom to finish out the black, just one strip wide, with yellow prints to fill in between the black pieces. I think maybe that's what you were concerned about when you thought it looked unfinished.

I love that! The black print is a fun surprise in between all the yellow!

I love the yellow and black. It feels like summer happiness. The extra row does make it look more finished and terrific.

Looks great and I am all signed up for Hands 2 Help! Glad you have food for a week. For years, my husband and I ate different things, now I mostly cook easy things, but love having something that can work for a few nights!

Sometimes yellow is really what you need! I like this one and I'll bet it's fast to make. Looking at a similar project for H2H.

I think that top is really pretty! My bedroom when I was a teenager or just those colors! LOL

Love the yellow. For some reason it reminds me of bees. I'm sure someone will love this fun quilt!

This Stepper Quilt is a pretty one! How can you not like Black with Yellow? I'm a great believer in Cook Once, Eat Twice (or three times). My sister called it "planned overs" and she never served the same thing 2 days in a row. Course her freezer was always full, til the day she died! Always food at the ready! More time for hobbies, that's what I think!

Hopefully spring is really on its way! I'm ready!!!!!

Jeeping and wing tasting - sounds great to me!! The yellow and black quilt turned out very cute, and I always love a "design as you sew" type of project.

Your Steppers quilt looks wonderful, that's a very effective block.

Your stepper is very cute. Not a pattern that I've done before. Might have to add it to the very long list.
