A brown Design wall

A friend of mine said - hey I have some fabric scraps for you - and I met her in the parking lot and she handed me A LOT of fabric scraps!!

The first bag I took into the house was filled with browns - so I immediately grabbed 9 Fat Quarters and got to work!

And ta da - I made 9 Turning Twenty blocks and soon... it will be a lap quilt!!

Just so you know - there were more bags.... stay tuned....

Meeting in a parking lot? Hmm...sounds a bit shady- just kidding. I have handed off comfort quilts in grocery parking lots due to scheduling and the fact the recipient did not know me. Looks like you did not wait long to get cooking.

Way to get started! Great job!

A monochromatic TT is a great idea. Funny how inspiration can strike when you get a bag of someone else's scraps (in contrast to staring at your own scrap basket).

What a fast and fun way to turn those scraps into a quilt top!

Gotta LOVE a cozy brown quilt, Alycia!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the other scraps you received. (I actually turned down a bag of scraps at December's guild meeting! Crazy, right?)

Lucky you ! Not that I don't have plenty of enough fabric, but it is always fun to get a bonus batch and enjoy the variety. I have a goal to make more quilts this year ... lots more. so far I am a day or 2 behind my goals. Ha!

Your parking lot exchange reminds of Sesame Street: Wanna buy a watch? LOL I used sell Girl Guide cookies from my trunk in all sorts of places.

Fun and fast, perfect for a bag of scraps. Looking forward to seeing what you pull out of the bag next.
