OCC Hats, beanies and ..... Finished ( or Not) Friday

I know its not quite the end of January - but I am ready to make my January Hats report!

Since the Color of the Month ( Rainbow Scrap Challenge) was Red - I headed to Joanns to get some Red yarn...

Check out that yarn - like 1000 Yards of it!! Holee Cow!
I wondered how many hats you could get from it...

I also had a little bit of red in my stash - so added that to this red and!

I got 6 Red hats out of it!!! I know there is a cream on in there - but that is what I was working on when the color was called out... and you know... I had to finish it !

I also got a little creative:

I made two of these - one was claimed quickly - and the other I put on Etsy. I figured if I could sell a hat or two, I could buy more yarn... always thinking ... I am!!!

And then I thought - what if I go the other way? and ta-da!! This one was made:

Funny thing - it was claimed too!

So I got 10 hats done this month - 7 will go to M

I already took her these 18:

Her goal for 2022 is 700 Hats.... That's a huge goal - but! i think she can do it!

So!!! What have you been up to? Share you Finishes!!!

If you continue at the rate you are going you will be a huge help in getting 700 hats done.

I've spied those gigantic balls of yarn...wow, you knit up a storm of beanie hats, all of them marvelous. Being easily influenced by my peers, I now want to knit something!

Oh my gosh!! You are really cranking those hats and I know your friend appreciates all those you donate. Mine are boring compared to yours as they are always ONE color and NO pompoms! LOL Think we bought the same skeins at Joann--I got one red and one blue.

I think you might make that a700 hat goal all on your own!

700 is a lot of hats, but you've already made 25 to help her out. I think she can get there, too!

Good job with knitting all those hats! cute rainbow hats! My knitting club used to knit hats for a local hospital but since COVID, they stop accepting any donations. We are always looking for places to donate to. Is there a link?

Um, do you ever sleep? You've done a great job with your knitting. It took me weeks to make one. I generally only worked on it one day a week at stitching group. Let me know if you would like a fairy to mail you some yarn. It would help me make a dent in my stash.

The hats - so cute! And what a super project for donating too! I keep thinking I should find my knitting needles and see if I remember how.

Hmmmm..... a cuddle of cats, a snuggle of puppies, and a ???? of hats. Knit on, knit on. Are you using one of those circular looms to produce all this warm woolly goodness? I've been knitting too this month as I can sit upstairs in the sunshine -- which is in short supply this time of year.

Your hats are lovely in red. I need to find the yarn and pattern and knit one for my son..... thanks for the reminder.

Hi Alycia, those are awesome hats. I hope that you've kept one or two for yourself (or does it not get that cold where you are?). Have a great week!

Wonderful hats!

It's easy to see why the rainbow hats were claimed, very colorful.

Stay warm!

I love when I get a chance to hunt through my stash... there always seems to be something I forgot about that brings a big smile. Your collection of hats is absolutely wonderful. They will keep many ears warm!

Those red hats are all really cute, but the rainbow ones are really fun. No wonder they got claimed so quickly!
