A Scrappy Strippy and!! Finished! or Not Friday!!

Hey!!! Did you know that today is October 1st??? Holee Cow!! Fall!! My Favorite-ist time of year!! The only thing I am not a fan of is the dark... Think I could make a deal with the weather that we still get long light days??

I'm starting to dig back thru my Crockpot recipes ... Love having that thing going! I have a love/hate relationship with cooking... I love it, until I run out of time - then I hate the time it takes to make something!!

If you have a great Crockpot recipe - Pass it on ( it has to be gluten free and nut free - because - of course I am allergic to all things good)

Now onto all thing Quilty!!!
This is my Finish for this week!!

It is a scrappy Strippy quilt made up of all good things!! and its Blue and cream - so even better!

I quilted geometrical squares on it - and I laughed... I am already a dizzy person - but I found I could make myself dizzier....

Doesn't this make you dizzy?

And now it is your turn to link up your finishes!!!

Great scrappy Strippy quilt. Love the blue and cream together. I understand why you said it was dizzying. It is busy but lovely.

Happy October 1st! I'm not ready for it to be that far into the year. Scrappy Strippy has lots of pretty blues and purples in it.

My Guy has a family crock pot recipe that his mother made frequently that's one of our fall favorites (his family just calls it The Crock Pot Stuff). 1 lb ground beef(browned), 1 can of peas, 1 large russet potato, 1 onion, 1 can of tomato soup. Three hours on high, 5 to 6 hours on low in the crock pot.

What a great scrappy quilt! Love the colors. I will try to remember to email you my crockpot chili recipe when I get home. Although you probably have more chili recipes than you can ever use in a lifetime! (So do I!!!)

Hi Alycia, congrats on your finish! I wish that it was light longer too, the days are so short. If you want, you can link up to Free Motion Mavericks - Muv is hosting the link up this week - it will be my turn next week. Take care.

I wish we could have lighter, longer days year round, too. What a lovely scrappy quilt and I think the quilting is fun, and I like how the quilting adds movement. :)

I love your new quilt. Blues and creams look so great together. Speaking of the crockpot (we call them slow cookers here in Australia), I cooked a whole chicken in mine this week. Stuck a lemon in the butt, seasoned and spices, fresh thyme and garlic over the top and let it cook slowly for a few hours. It wasn't pretty, but gosh it was tasty (and moist).

What a great scrappy brick quilt!!! I'm with you on shorter days. The worst of it is when I close the quilt shop at 9 and it's dark.
