Green RSC and Table Scraps for March

Your not going to believe this... but its kinda an end of the month (ish) for me!!

This is my day to recap my Placemat Project for this month!!!

This month was Green and my Goal was 10 Green Placemats!!

Whoop Whoop!! TEN!!! and guess what?? Three of them are quilted - Oh ya!!

But even better?

All NINE of my February ( remember it was short month) are quilted and bound!

and All TEN of my January are now all bound... for those of you who know me, you had BETTER be clapping like crazy... Binding... my least favorite part of making a quilt... I mean - who has time for that? haha!!

Yay for binding! Like icing on a beautiful fabric cake, you are getting even closer to having a HUGE stack of finished placemats to donate. Yay for finishes!

Lots of happy placemats, Alycia. Will you gift them or use them? Love your binding choices. I used to LOVE the binding chore and now I dont. Funny how we change!! But still my least favorite is figuring out backings. I dont even mind pin basting now. my other least fav is assembling the top and ironing it.

I absolutely love this idea of making placemats each month. I might have to give that a try later this summer. Right now I've got to get that darned star quilt top done! Can you tell I'm a little bored with it?

A wonderful collection! I need to find a place to send mine off to, I figure I will do April's mats and then send them somewhere.

You rock getting all those placemats bound! Are they for Meals on Wheels or such?

Bravo! Bravo! That's 19 total quilted and, yes, bound placemats!! Take a bow.

I don't mind binding. How about I send my tops to you to be quilted, and I'll do your binding. LOL Well done on the placemats.

Oh, I'm clapping--that is a great accomplishment!

Yeah! Fabulous scrappy placemats. I hope you bind by machine.

Wow! You are going to have quite the assortment of placemats by the end of the year...if that's your goal to make a set for each RSC. They are all so pretty! I used to hate the binding step, but now I look forward to it and am very happy with my results. Plus, getting to the "finished" stage is so rewarding. Looking forward to some blue placemats in April!

If you use faux piping binding, then you can easily do it all by machine, which would make it easier for you.
