A Churning Finish

Ha ha? Right? Aren't we always trying to come up with Catchy titles.... well - I am not sure this is one... but it fits the bill

I have a finish.... Got My Scrappy Churn Dash all Quilted, and ready to go to my QOV sew day and get its binding ;-)

This finish was a part of the My Favorite Quilt Block Hop ( organized by Creatin in the Sticks)

If you remember...my Quilt holders have abandoned me ( mostly) - so I thought - I will use a gate!

and then the wind came up and it laughed at me!! - So I sorta got it stuck against a gate...

And then I tried again - and it just kept falling and the left side kept blowing up - But I like the color with the sun shining ( see there is always a positive!)

Just so you can see where I was.... ha ha

And then! I walked up to the house and there was a flat space with out any animals or *farm stuff* piled on it... that might be because I made a list for Fall Cleanup - AND ! my List actually got read!

It's a little crazy so I converted it to black and white - just to see if the camera really thought my interpretations of Dark and Lights were the same....

So!! Let's Brag about your Finishes or Not Finishes....
It's supposed to Snow Sunday - so I need an excuse to pass chores off.... and get quilty!

Hi Alycia! Boy, I really had to study your gorgeous finish to actually see the churn dash blocks. It is stunning - I love the scrappy look but it really looks scrappy planned to me. Everything works well together and someone will be very, very happy to receive it. ~smile~ Roseanne

Please tell me that all these amazing scrap quilts you are turning out are making a dent in your stash. If not, then there is no hope for the rest of us. I LOVE this one. Good use of the gate too! ;)

A lovely finish, blowing or not!

Your churn dash quilts are always so pretty! Great job! When my quilt holders flew the coop...I invested in a photographers backdrop rack (like $50 on Amazon) to hold my quilts...

Ha! The wind has a mnd of its own, doesn't it? But your quilt is lovely. Glad that someone took your list seriously so you could get a good picture!

It's such a challenge to photograph outside when it's windy! But you succeeded and your quilt looks great. At first I wasn't sure I saw a pattern but it's obvious when looking at the whole quilt. Some service man or woman will love it!

That quilt is so beautiful! Since it is a red white and blue quilt, it makes perfect sense that it would fly in the breeze like a flag.

Congrats on a beautiful finish! You've been moving along on a few fronts lately.

Your Churn Dash quilt looks beautiful. I totally get your complications with getting a good photo. I have family available to hold my quilts, but they have very short attention spans. Once they've heard 5 clicks they say "Enough. I'm done", and walk away!!! Thank you for linking up with the Peacock Party.

It looks great. Please keep the snow in your neck of the woods!!! I'm not ready for winter.

Love you scrappy quilt, and the quilting looks like the wind was supposed to play thru it.
