I love the way the different plaids are used in this wonderfully unique Quilt of Valor!!!
I love it! I can't remember ever seeing a churn dash combined with an Irish chain before, but the combination is elegant and inspired. And plaid - so you, and so nice and masculine. You totally nailed this one! PS - the quilting and binding are great, too.
WHOA!! A finish! YAY for you and it is LOVELY as always!
This is a beautiful quilt! mary in Az
Wow! What is not to love about those wonderful plaid chains and churn dash blocks! This is a sweet quilt! I love it :-)
This is my kind of quilt!!
Love the unique Irish Chains with the Churn Dash!
I love this! Your design and fabrics are fantastic. Great job.
Woo hoo, great job!
I like!!
Excellent! Good job getting it all done so quickly!
It really is a great looking quilt! I love both churn dash and 9 patch blocks and have done quilts with both. A soon as I finish my mystery quilt, I will be able to check Irish chain off my list! I still have Double Irish chain I want to do.
Love your Churning Irish Chain!! What a great pattern to mesh to classic patterns!! Love it!!!!! Really love that it is a QoV!
I really enjoyed my first mystery quilt with you. Yours is beautiful! I'm not finished but will post a picture when done. Thanks for doing this.
love your fabric choices and how you combined the plaids...really stands out. A great quilt...congrats!
This is a stunning quilt, Alicia. One of the reasons I love it is the plaids you used, and another is that it's not easy to tell at first how you created the red and white diagonals. Plus the grey in the background makes everything else look grand! Well done. Congratulations!
It's delicious!!! What a great use of plaids - what a great quilt!

Did you say bound?! Yes, you can goof off the rest of the month (or bind another quilt! ;))
Oh my goodness I love that!
I really really like this one and can see it in lots of colorways. But I really love the patriotic version.
Love this mystery and as usual you have given us a great step by step plan. My top will be finished next weekend then off to a longarmer it will go.
Is there an official name besides A-5 for this quilt? Are you taking suggestions? After reading everyone's comments on the pattern I suggest CHURN-CHAIN.
No pressure but when is your next mystery? Ok, I just really had fun with this one and look forward to each Friday's edition and then hurry to get that finished over the weekend so I'm ready for the following Friday. Believe it or not it keeps me on my other tasks as well.
Thank you Alycia!

Love all the plaids with that gray background. Congrats on finishing.
Plaids always make a quilt better. Love this one!
Love the plaids!
What a great design! The four-patches sparkle.
