Antique Family Quilts

One of my clients was recently visiting her family, and they uncovered these quilt blocks.  She took them home and set them in this Blue Fabric - and Wow!! What an awesome Family Heirloom!!

I was the lucky one to quilt it.  And I will tell you - it was hard to give back!

I think I need a larger house, so that I can have quilts on every wall!!

Isn't it just yummy!!!

I just kept staring and the fabrics, and finding a new favorite each time I looked at it!!

Hope you have a great Friday!!!

I love it! So nice to see old blocks end up in a finished quilt. I know the original piecer would be thrilled. Your choice of BF quilting was perfect!

How wonderful a story. You and your quilting became a part of their family heirloom. Beautifully done. Love the Baptist fans.

The fabrics look like flour sack fabric or sugar sack fabric, depends on how fine a weave. Glad they have a home and can be enjoyed.

What a great find. She did a great job with the setting and the quilting sets it all off to great advantage.
