Design Wall Monday and JAL

It rained!!! And it was a horrible Cold rain, and so I decided that Sunday I was going to drop all plans and play!!!

So I did!! The Empress ( http://imperamagna.blogspot.com/) is hosting a Quilt a Long  and I thought i would join in!  On my stash report from yesterday I told you I got some Moda Cheddar... and here is what I am doing with it.   I was going to use a yellow, but I think I like the Cheddar much better. I hope it blends with all the plaids.

And of course, I might not lay them out like this - but this is what I have done so far, and a lot more cut up!

This is my son and I - he had homecoming this week, he was royalty, and was so busy - but when we went to take pictures with the girls - I got in on one....I am officially average in our house.....

Wow... I'm not a "cheddar" kinda girl but I love yours with the blue plaids! What a great combination!

Mm, I like the cheddar with the plaid.

My goodness, he's sure growing up. What a handsome kid.

The cheddar does brings them all together. It's great to see more colors in the background than white and cream. I miss those School days and the picture taking opportunities.

What a nice picture of you and your tall son! You will treasure it as the years go by. I love that Moda Cheddar color; it is an apt description, smile.

The cheddar is PERFECT!

I do believe your son has grown taller. You're not average . . . if you weren't his mom, he wouldn't be here, and that makes you very special indeed!

Should be a fun quilt along. I think the cheddar looks great with the plaids. Your son is a handsome kid. So neat that he was part of the homecoming festivities.
