Design Wall - Halloween Edition

Okay - I know this is last minute... but sometimes that is how one has to operate ;-)

A few weeks ago when I was in the Springs I purchased a Jelly roll and some pumpkin fabrics. Yesterday - as I was comtemplating fixing fences or not, I decided it was probably time to put that quilt together....

When I opened the jelly roll thought I was surprised that there was 2 strips of each kind of fabric, but I think the body of the quilt turned out okay.   Now I need borders....

the pumpkins in the corner are what the border will be....

just a close up of some of the strips

I thought I would time myself and see if I went faster than the last one I made, but I got sidetracked.

Friday night there was an accident ( yes, the driver is fine) but he rolled a big semi into our north fence, and happened to hit the corner post to the north/south fence, and well as taking out about 25 feet of the east/west fence.... all of that means....

We can't keep any thing in that pasture until CDOT fixes there stuff, and we fix ours. and we have just best unlucky this month, with the oil/natural gas companies.... and fences, and gates, and animals.....

Love the quilt!!! It just shouts Halloween. Sorry about the fencing; I hope things smooth out for you soon.

I love your quilt! If the pumpkin border is the same fabric as the one I used, the faces glow in the dark! How fun! I applaud your last minute efforts.

The quilt is so fun! I don't think everyone realizes how important fencing is to people with animals.

Sorry about the fence troubles. Can you sting an electric wire until the powers that be take care of their stuff> If Your Dh hasn't already thought of that... Cute Jelly Roll quilt. If it wasn't for Last Minute, nothing would get done.

great top, the only jelly roll I have tried so far had too many same fabrics and turned out looking more like a background then a focal piece. I will have to add some applique and pretend I ment for it to look like this- lol

glad to hear the driver is Ok.

I like it! Nice and bright Halloween colors. Sorry about your fence. I know that creates some challenges for you.

I reckon there is a lot of that glow in the dark pumpkin fabric being used this year! I have it backing my Hallowe'en tumbler block quilt. And yeah, it's weird to use at night. I had it on my bed in October and when I turned the light out I could see it glowing, I imagine yours will be even more fun!
