Slow Moving Progress

I am still working on my On Ringo Lake Quilt - but now all the blocks are finished... and in a pile... to determine the next step as to what they will become.

Because of course - I am still trying to keep up with Lupine and Laughter - of which I am not caught up - as we know the reveal has been revealed. Yes I have seen it, but I am sort of ignoring it now that I have one block made and concentrating on finishing the Parts first.

I am also continuing on my Chunky Churn Dashes as my RSC block. A few of you guessed I would have 130 by the time the month ended. Holee cow - that's a lot - I think that may be more scraps than I have? but then again - Who knows - things show up in the strangest of places.

This is my New Best Friend - We saw him  the day after Christmas.  I love him ( or her)

At our last Sew Day we made those 4patch blocks on Bonnies site as the leader/ender ( all that to say - I can't remember their name)  I got them all out on the design wall - and now!!

Its a top!!

I like how it turned out - its quite colorful !

I have progress on my Ringo Lake....

And!! I got started on the first clue on Lupine and Laughter   I did not get it finished - but! I did get it all cut!

Sunday Night we decided to head to Cazadores in Greeley for dinner... it was my night to cook haha!!  And this is what I left, and what is here to start on!!!

More On Ringo Lake

Ohhh heck fire - I have been on a roll... that I know it about to stop - but seriously!!!

I now have 10 blocks completely done!!!! As I was stitching them I didn't know if I liked them, I put them up on the design wall and went to make dinner... and then looked at them from far away! And! I do like them!

We then had to take a break and go for a walk - we waled about 3 miles and smelled all sorts of new smells for fall...

Just  a close up of the first 5 - I think this will be fun!

Thanksgiving is coming up - what is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Anything I could make with zucchini?

On Ringo Lake Progress

Last week I decided my goal was to finish for Brown and Cream Flying Geese.. and guess what!

I did it!

See!! All the Brown ones are done!! and I already had all the peach ones done - so...

I decided to keep going.

Put those together....

and....

I looked at the next step...

I had half of that step already done, so I decided to keep moving and see what I could finish.

The next step in the piece with the orange half square on it. I had the Brown and Teal part done... so!

Cut the orange and started on those units.

I got a lot more stitched, and ran out of time to get them all ironed.....

I think I might be a few short - so keep your fingers crossed that when I am all done counting.. I have enough ;-)

I might actually get this one to a great stage before Bonnies next mystery starts...... I have been thinking of what fabric I could use for Lupine and  Laughter

Also - My Steer posed.....

You have to love him right?  I think the dogs were freaking him out, he wasn't sure if they were going to move him, or if he was okay to stay !!

On Ringo Lake ( 2017)

The new QuiltVille Mystery is about to start, and I think... I might do it this year!!!

And then I started looking around, and realized that I had Started On Ringo Lake, but I don't remember starting it, and I never finished....

I found the bucket full of parts, and there was also a bucket of fabric that looked like it went with it.

I think I got carried away with the fabric pull ---- I see 6 or 7 more quilts in this colorway!!

I sorted and piled and used these clips to hold all the pieces together in groups of 10"

Everything looks so pretty now:

The clips were like $7 for 100!!! I think I need more!
You can find them on amazon here CLIPS

Doesn't it look so much better?

And now I have determined. my next step.....

I am not sure what book On Ringo Lake is in - but I bet you can find it at Quiltville.com - I know Bonnie Sells her patterns after she is done.

This week - you all!_ I am setting a goal - get all these little brown pieces done!

That! and I got 3 more of the 6 pumpkins done, so I have 3 more to go. They don't go bad fast - so I think I can do them this week and still be okay.
