Balance... my word for 2022

I feel like this year I need a word.. I need a Focus.

I have already admitted to last year being a little helter skelter and I know that at times I went hard core one way, and then switched the other way. It was all good, but as I sit back and reflect on some of the way things went... I think I need

Balance.

Now how I am going to achieve that - I have no idea - but Choosing my Word is going to help me start somehow correct???

Any suggestions?

Balance is a good word of the year. What I did when I was thinking about balancing is to list my priorities and make sure I dedicate time to each one. The hope is that the things that drop off are the things that are not as important, and not another priority item.

Focus is a tough word because you have to ask what to focus on and what not to. I think it the process for me is more like setting a course and then navigating all the sea creatures and speed bumps to pull into the correct harbor.

Need to think about that one a bit before I share any "suggestions" -- LOVE the graphic!!!

Ha! Perhaps over the course of a week (or two) you can average things out to be balanced!

When you find balance, remember to leave the rest of us a map!

Maybe we will have to encourage each other. I chose BALANCE also! "smile".

When I pause to think about balance, it helps me to think about things in terms of buckets of time. If I want to do something else, I have to also consider what bucket the time needs to come out of. I hope that by just making it a focus word that you think of throughout the year it helps you this year!

I put my word on the header of my blog and it helped me by seeing it daily. But there are still outside forces that led me astray! LOL.

Life just doesn't come evenly balanced, I just keep reminding myself I'm not super woman and can't do everything I'd like to do. Happy stitching in 2022!

Balance…could mean a lot of things but your cartoon cracked me up! Thanks for the morning laugh :)

Balance is a good word, but that cartoon is perfect! Maybe it is the way we should balance...one is fun for a reason that is fulfilling an obligation that we want to get done - a deadline, a give away, a blog hop. Another is fun because it is a project that is just for me and the pleasure of a particular thing - a pattern, a group of fabrics, challenge, or where it is going. Not sure that it makes sense but I think sometimes we are so obsessed with our obligations, we drop the fun ones OR you are someone so distracted by the next shiny thing you never finish the old ones. However you interpret it, I hope you get to feel more balanced as the year progresses.

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE BALANCE IN MY LIFE OR MAYBE ME TIME. learning TO SAY NO WOULD HELP. but HOW DOES THE SAYING GO if YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE ASK A BUSY PERSON. Keep US UPDATED ON HOW IT GOES.

Balance is a great focus for 2022. But it's a hard thing to achieve, at least when one has a job, spouse, kids, aging parents, and so many fun hobbies to indulge in. If you figure it, will you share with the rest of us?

I vote for using the picture as your guide to finding balance. Or maybe ice cream and dark chocolates....
