In January I decided I should use this box of Batiks that I had .. I looked at them every day when I started to go upstairs - so they were really growing on me...
I pulled out my Lime Green and Purple Pineapple quilt one day, because you know...Winter had hit our area and inspiration struck!! or maybe it just hit me on the head.... and I thought - what about a Rainbow Pineapple Blossom out of my Batiks - and so I cut, and I prepped...
And in January - I even sewed Pink.... I just forgot to tell anyone!! ( so unlike me!!)
And now - since it is February - I started on the yellow too..... and here is where I am!
Ta da!!
See - The Lime and Purple one ( from 2011!!!!!)and look!
From 2014 - so its kinda time for another one right???
I must like Pineapples... which is funny - cuz I am allergic to real pineapple.....

What design are you using for your pineapple blocks? They look a lot less fussy than most I've seen - and I like them, a lot! Especially the one from 2014.
What a lovely addition to your Pineapple quilt collection this Rainbow version will be, Alycia!! Allergic to pineapples? DS1 is, too.
I really like this block! It will look great in rainbow colors!
You are having fun sewing those pretty Pineapple Blossoms blocks.
Beautiful quilts. Love the scrap one. Congrats Alycia!
So many great quilts. The pineapple block is such a versatile scrap pattern. I could make it again and again..
I love it when I see the same pattern made up in so many different color ways.
It makes me think or wonder about color and how it makes so much difference in what I notice and see. I never do the posted mystery quilts but love seeing the different ones at the end and all the color ways people use.
I had to search and find that pattern! The clue was in Alycia’s post title. It’s a Bonnie Hunter pattern, named Pineapple Blossom, and is a free pattern on her website. I love the background fabric you’re using, with those bright batiks. Dot
I think that’s a different pineapple block than the one I am familiar with and slightly allergic to! **Grin** I might have to try that one! Different colorways make them look like different quilts!
Can't go wrong with a classic and look how different the batiks are from the other quilts you have made!!!!
I love your pineapple blocks - they make a great design! I can definitely see why you'd want to make more!
So glad the batiks finally found a home!

What a great start to a RSC quilt! I have not heard of a pineapple allergy before!
What wonderful rainbow pineapple blocks! Bonnie's is a great pattern and it certainly looks like it's time for another.
Too bad to be allergic to real pineapples, but then, your blocks and quilts are very beautiful! I love the pink and yellow new blocks ;)
It is a wonderful pattern that can transform by color choices. You did good.
Way to keep up on the RSC!
LOVE the fabrics in this quilt. Nicely done.
What fun colors for a new Pineapple quilt and love the ones that you have already completed. Hope you have a fabulous week and happy quilting.
Clearly, since you cannot eat pineapples you make them and honestly they look good enough to eat - particularly the yellow ones look downright yummy. Hope you are staying safe and warm.
That's going to be a very fun RSC project for the year. I don't remember the lime and green pineapple quilt, but I think I remember you working on the last one. Both are really fun quilts.
