Travel Time -Devils Backbone

The last two weeks of summer the boys and I ( and sometimes Wrangler Man) trekked all over on short day trips.... or long ones, but not far enough that we couldn't get back to do chores. It was fun!

I showed you a few photos of Devils Backbone - and now! Here are more. I finally downloaded the 3 million 14 kajillion photos - and picked a few that turned out!!

There is this place not too far away - and you can get to it and hike a little or a lot - A little is REALLY cool - A lot takes you way farther away that you think....

Just in case you didn't know - those are my kids
They are my buddies - but they eat alot
Which it good if you are the one that packed the snacks -
your backpack lightens quickly

This is the backbone - isn't that cool!

And here is another part -
can you see the skull?
We decided that we had better be nice or the rock people would do that!

You can just see forever!!!

That big mountain back there
We think that is Long's Peak in Rocky Mtn National Park

This is me - at the bottom of the trail
I didn't know if we should pick the upper fork or the lower fork
I voted for the easy one
I lost.... but it was good to lose this time!!

We didn't see any rattlesnakes, and only met one other group of hikers.
Not to bad of a trip
and they took me to pizza afterwards!

Love your pictures. I didn't see the skull, unless it looks like a camel... Lol. I'm going to send this blog address to my granddaughter in CO. She's an adventurous type and might like to go.
Thanks for the heads up.
Hugs

Well you know . .. those young whippersnappers look pretty strong. I bet they could carry their own backpacks as well as yours. That way you could take more pictures. Glad to hear there were no snakes.

Gorgeous photos! Glad you were able to get out with your buddies and spend some fun time. They do grow up really fast don't they.

You sound like My Guy. I'm still waiting on him to finish sorting through his Michigan photos so I can put together a photobook. Which I say I'm doing every year, but he never manages to finish up sorting his photos!
