So here is his open class quilt:
Its actually bigger than that - they folded it in half.
Which was quite humorous - the kids wanted to see the whole thing...
and kept pestering moms ;-)
And yes - that is a champion ribbon hanging in the corner
The quilt below is his 4H Quilt for this year.
They had it folded as well
And yes that is a champion ribbon as well
He was quite tickled!!
So we brought it home and hung it up
( and look - I switched ribbons!! I better go fix that)
It is fun to see people enter their quilts and learn about the feedback.
He got some very helpful comments
One was about the matching of seams.
Glad they told him that - Mom doesn't know anything lol

I love his quilts. On my recent visit to Cincinnati, spent a day with my two six year old grandsons teaching them to sew bean bags. They were determined and excited to learn to sew. They love Spiderman too. Can't wait to show them this blog post.
It has to be a WONDERFUL feeling for your son to see his efforts appreciated and acknowledged with ribbons at the fair! Congratulations!
Congratulations! I DO recognize that Star Blue ribbon from the entries my girls made, and I remember how special that is!
Awesome! Congratulations to him!
Wooo hoooo! Now that's exciting.
How wonderful. So glad his efforts were rewarded so well... and deserved! He is an artist.
Hugs
Congrats! to the fair winner.
Fantastic. Congratulations to him. How funny they folded the quilts in half - I would've wanted to see the whole quilt as well.
Congratulations on the champion ribbons. That is so cool.
Congrats Middle Bit! I wonder who was more excited? You or him? LOL
