My Middle son is in Quilting for 4H - This unit was to design your own quilt.... so he did.
He had fun, I think he enjoyed the drawing more than the actual piecing.... and LOVED the quilting. He likes my power tools.... ( R'oh, Owh, Rowh _ think Tim the toolman taylor)
Even though the Accucut was out....
I made him learn the rotary way for the borders.
He used the Accu-cut for the Flying geese though
That is a fun Die!!
Then he put it on the Long Arm
Ignore the vacuum in the back - I was deep cleaning while he was working
And then we remembered he needed photos for the record book...
Oops
Below is his finished top
It is before quilting....
We will get to the fair a lot this week
So we will see how he did.....
And get a finished quilt photo.... we sort of forgot that as we ran to the interviews

What fun to see quilting skills moving to the next generation
Dear Middle Son, your entry brought back memories of my first 4H entry, when I was 12 years and made my first dress. Love your design, and good luck at the fair!
Not every mom let's her children play with her power tools. Your son is lucky to have such a terrific mom.
Good for him. I hope he develops an interest in quilting. The machine's a little short for him lol.
Awesome quilt!!! Best of luck at the fair!
What the heck have you been feeding that guy?!?! When did Middle Bit become all grown up? Love his quilt -- great job.
Good luck to Middle Son with his quilt. He does know he's lucky to have a Mom that can hook him up with all that cool equipment?
His quilt is awesome and I can't wait to hear how he did at the fair (and see pictures of the finished quilt!!) :) Major LOL at the Tim the Toolman reference :D
