Yep!! That is the name of a quilt..
.Better with Cheddar is FINISHED to the top stage.... and is too big for my design wall - but I Love it anyways!!
This was started as a Quilt A Long with
Impera Magna back in 2011 - with a Jacobs Ladder pattern from Quiltville.com ..... There's were in floral - me - always the rebel - did plaids.
And then I put it away after only so many blocks.... please do not ask why - I have no good reason....
I got it back out in May - when I entered my "
plaid phase" ( of which I am still in!)
And last night I FINALLY got the last border on. I have no clue what size it is - I forgot to measure maybe 66 x 76 ish???
My boys are the little hands holding the quilt up for me. They asked if it really counts as finished since it is not quilted. I told them if they wanted Ice Cream, they would just GO. WITH. IT.
They were good......
Ta da!!! It is a TOP!!!

Nice job! I love the way the Jacob Ladder design seems to "float" right above the plaids. The colors work well together...you are a GENIUS!!!

Love the cheddar....LOVE the quilt. Had to laugh with your sons. Many years ago I would go fabric shopping. The boys would get money to go to the ice cream shop while I was in the shop. One time they came back to the shop just as the total rang up. It was OMG mom. We're telling dad!

I love the plaids - and I agree with Judy V - it looked like the ladders are a grid laid on top of the plaid blocks - every time you've shown this I have to force my feeble mind to see the cheddar as integrated into the block and not laying on top!
It almost looks like the cheddar was painted on! I love it!
did you send a copy of the picture or the url to Bonnie yet? It's truly an amazing looking quilt and I'm betting that Bonnie will think so too.

You and I must be related! I love Bonnie Hunter and scrappy quilts. Plaid has always been my favorite! I've got a plaid Moth in the Window in my near future!
