January's to Do List

Instead of choosing UFO's to finish for the whole year I am going to join in with Judy and just choose the things I want to get done in the month. The big things.... I always have tons of little things going on....

So for January

  • 1. Quilt my Purple Pineapple   ( this is a carryover from my 2012 list - but you still love me right?)
  • 2. Finish my Wildlife Double Slice quilt ( its on my design wall RIGHT. SMACK. NOW!)
  • 3. Start to Quilted my New Years Day Quilt of Valor
  • 4. Start on my HMQS Challenge Quilt. It's due in April - if I start now - I have a chance right?

Hope this keeps me on track!! For 2012 I finished 9 of the 12 things I listed... that is not to shabby - considering that most of them needed to be Quilted. My Long-armer needs to make me a priority ( oh wait! That;s me!!)   Tee hee!!

What's on your list?

I really like your purple pineapple quilt. The "Get It Done" list is Judy's best idea yet. You can custom make it to fit you needs each month.

I don't know how you get so much done each month having 4 guys to take care of, living on a ranch, delivering QOVs, and all the other jobs you do.

Good luck on your goals, I still need to write mine down!

I like this idea. I am going to do it for more than just my quilting, but there will be some quilting involved with my weekly version of this idea. I head back to school in about a week, but I am happy to report that over the break, I have quilted 3 quilts (a twin-size and 2 lap size), stitched down the binding on one, finished two overdue tops, and plan some more quilting for each day this coming week, including several more bindings. A girl' got to do what she can when there is downtime, right/

You did much better than I on finishing 9 out of 12. I hope I can do as well as you on my 2013 list.

9 out of 12...along with all of the other stuff sounds darned good to me. Working month to month allows lots of flexibility. QOV is a wonderful program.

Great job on 9 out of 12! I did a "monthly small project" list one month last year and it was very effective. I love crossing things off so once it was all written down in one spot, I was very motivated to get things done. I think you've inspired me to make a January list now, too!

Nine out of twelve is a pretty good average, you had an awesome 2012. Hope your 2013 is even more awesome!

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year girlfriend! May you and yours enjoy health, ample rain, happiness, the joy of giving and most of all love.

Finishing 9 out of 12 projects is fantastic! If we all got that much done you would have a full basement again... :-) I think I have found a box for my quilts for you. Hope to get them mailed out pretty soon. Hope to get them in the mail soon.
