May's Color Palette Quilt

I finally finished May's Color Palette Challenge  - I liked what I had started - but it just needed more... and now I Really Really Really like it!!

I am still learning my camera for close up shots ...
And NO
The borders are not that wavy - I had helpers....

Isn't that border print crazy? The stripes make it!!

I am glad I have that finished - and am now working on the backing. I hope that I will quilt it a lot faster than some of the other quilts that I make!!

On another note - last night was a crazy crazy weather night, we were under a tornado warning/watch all thru the night. Here is my favorite though...

"We are seeing some action out in the east, however it is a rural area, stay tuned tomorrow morning for more news coverage."

Cracks me up - there are actually quite a few people out here!! We want to see what's happening too, especially when it is pitch black.

Thank goodness for weather.com

Enjoy your day!! Make it quilty!!

Love the orange stripe.

I always hated that about local news coverage. I swear I expected them to have notes on the maps that said "Here Be Dragons" anytime they pointed outside of the city limits.

I love the colors in this quilt! So bright and fun, and yes, the stripe really makes it!

I don't even watch the local news for weather. We have a GREAT radio station here when there is bad weather. It is much more accurate than the local weather service and they have a whole army of "spotters" out reporting on where the weather is bad and exactly what is going on. We get a few tornadoes around here, so it is pretty important! Go KTTS!

It looks great! I especially like the striped blocks that are scattered in the double squares.
