A cool quilt

This is a quilt that a customer of mine did. She did a great job. She had purchased a neat panel, and when she got home realized how wonky it was. I love the solution. And I loved the backing fabric!!!

She cut the panel up and made them the center of her blocks.

And the back.... Tada!!

I always seem to do this 'solution' with panels too. I haven't run across one printed straight yet.

Great idea to correct wonky-ness... I'll have to remember this!

Love the quilting you did... looks wonderful!

My husband's first quilt used a panel of duck stamps. He is a woodworker and very precise in his measurements so the wonky almost made him throw in the towel (or should I say fabric). His most memoriable comment was: "How do you put up with this? Fabric is so fluid!" The quilt came out squared and wonderful. The grandkids fight over who gets to use it.
