I have been given the opportunity to do another "give-away" on my blog!!!
This one is Thanks to Waterpik
What does Waterpik have to do with quilting you ask? Well.. speaking from personal experience a LOT! After you have spent lots of time at the sewing machine, and ironing board, and working so hard - your muscles get sore. Well this shower head has powerspray and circular massage settings on it. You can get in the shower and get relief for those tired muscles. Then get back to quilting!!
It has eight different setting on the shower head. Just so you know, we got one too, and all of us had to check it out. I think that might be the first time the boys *wanted* to take showers!!
Anyways - my favorite was the Circular Massage.
We are on a well - and don't always have a lot of water. So I am always concerned about water usage. There is nothing I love more than trying to get a drink of water and finding out we are out. Cuz, when we run out of water it sometimes take 6 hours to fill the cistern up again. But I digress....
This thing has OptiFlow -and it is an advanced technology that increases the water force, but uses less water. I am not an engineer - but that's pretty cool
And the best part - installs in minutes on any shower arm without needing pipe tape. And I can prove it, cuz Wrangler man installed ours in like 3 minutes!
So HOW CAN YOU WIN THIS?
Leave a comment on this post between now and August 8th at 7pm.
Tell me your favorite part of quilting. For example - putting on the binding?
Good Luck!!

Oh my gosh do we need one of these. We had to move the head from one bathroom to another. Everyones favorite shower is the walkin. WOW what a nice shower head.
Favorite part ... hmmm I love the giving part. See the smiling face and happiness warms my heart. I also like it when I've decided on the pattern ...
Thanks ... fingers crossed.
I think I would have to say the designing is my favorite part. Right up there with the giving like Sandy said. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you give somebody a quilt.
My favorite part of quilting is that moment when the flash of an idea inspires something new!
Let me think. I would have to say my favorite part is deciding on the pattern and the piecing. I find piecing, for the most part, very relaxing (but not nearly as relaxing as this shower head would be!).My second favorite thing is seeing the completely quilt.
Very cool!! I think that my favorite part of quilting is the anticipation of starting a new quilt - picking the pattern, colors and fabrics and the cutting! Woo hoo!!
I really love piecing blocks. That's why I love HeartStrings so much - I can make all the blocks I want and never have to assemble them into a quilt (unless I want to - which I occasionally do).
My favorite part of quilting changes. It used to be the piecing and seeing the pattern emerge, but now I enjoy most the quilting part especially when mindlessly meandering! Thanks for the giveaway.
I'd love a free massage ;-)
My favorite parts of the quilting process are the beginning and the end - sewing the first few blocks together with such excitement, and then putting the final stitches in the quilting design and taking it off the longarm with pride.
Oooh, this WaterPic sounds soooo wonderful! I need it now!!
My very fav part of quilting has got to be picking the fabrics. There's just something about the scent of a fabric store that sets me into a trance. But then there's that wonderful feeling when it's all come together & the binding's on, the label's on and you get to lay it in the recipient's arms. Aahh! Bliss!
I love giving the quilts away, especially when it is to someone who is hurting. The quilt provides a warm comforting hug and shows the person receiving it that they are loved! I even love giving quilts to someone I will never meet, like kids in an orphanage half a world away. I just sent 17 quilts with a friend to Rwanda to be given to kids she meets. Makes me happy knowing my talents are used to make others happy.
Hmmm my favorite part of quilting ... the done part and giving them away!

My favorite part of quilting (after the shopping and dreaming) is pressing out the fabric and making the first cuts. The dream of a gorgeous quilt is still alive in my head and I haven't made any mistakes yet. :D
My favourite part is the planning, taking scraps from my bins and seeing how they go together. My second favourite part is the binding, because that means I am closer to the giving away part.

i love the finished product - getting to use something I made - and love !!!
I love taking a completed quilt off the quilting machine. It is always a magic moment! swilde4166@comcast.net
I have two favorite parts of quilting piecing, when I watch the quilt top grow and binding when I know I'm finished. I also love the giving away part and seeing the look of surprise on the receipient's face.
My favorite part of quilting is actually the quilting itself on my longarm. I love to do freehand quilting and feathers to boot! I go all out on quilts just so I can make them look spectacular. I do also love putting my own quilts together. I finished a snowflake batik quilt for myself recently and it will be nice in my new home. That shower head would go perfect in my new shower also!!! Massage is a great thing for the body!

Getting the fabric home and starting is always fun but my most favorite time is taking it off the machine after it is quilted.
Thanks for all you do, Alycia.
My favorite part is when the quilt is finally complete! Nothing quite like a finished product. The shower head sounds marvelous. I could sure use it right now. :)
i like picking out the fabric!
I need this shower head
cheryl_429@hotmail.com
Ahhh, that would feel really good right now! LOL
My favorite part of the quilting is probably the giving away part, especially to those who understand what a quilt means. The second favorite part is pulling it off the machine after I am done quilting it. You didn't ask, but I also love to snuggle in them fresh out of the dryer (yes, I wash all my quilts and love that puckered up look)!

I love ALL parts of quilting. Really, I do. Even the things a lot of folks don't tend to like, like cutting and piecing. It's all part of the process, and I LOVE the process. However, I think one of my favorite parts is trimming it up after it's quilted, preparing it for binding.
We don't have a well, but have really low water pressure, so I think this shower head could be helpful for us too ;-) So good luck to me!
I didn't mean "piecing" in my previous comment, but "pressing." Fingers faster than brain at this hour ;-)
My favorite part is putting on the binding and taking a picture of the completed quilts.
Eileen
My favourite will be the piecing. I would have to say the others but I rarely sigh when doing piecing.
I love the piecing, but I also love pinning the quilt on the leaders of my longarm...I know, weird, huh?
lol! I find it kind of relaxing!
I love the part of picking the pattern then dyeing the fabric to go with the pattern.
What a great giveaway thank you, I sure could use one of these.
My favorite part is the quilting it. And second favorite is the shopping for the fabrics!
Patti
To me the best part of quilting is pulling the fabric together whether it is from my stash, picking it out at the store or a combination.
My favorite part of quilting is the look on my customer's faces when they see their completed quilt. I quilt on an HQ 16 with the pro-stitcher and love the whole process. Next birthday is the big 70 and I sure could use some help with the stiff muscles.
What a fantastic giveaway! Our home is an older home with an older shower head, this would be perfect!
My favorite part of quilting is also my worst part - all the fantastic quilting sites online!! I need to spend more time actually quilting and less time reading about it!
Happy quilting, Andrea
I would love to have this shower head! I, for the life of me, can not take a quick shower - in & out. I don't know how people do that. I love standing under the shower head feeling that warm water loosening up my sore & tight muscles...until I'm out of hot water. Drives my DH nuts!
My favorite part of quilting is when I take the quilt off the frame and can admire it as a whole. It is just a totally "WOW" moment for me! I'm always amazed that as a new longarm quilter, I can hold up a newly quilted quilt with pride and say, "I did this!"
This looks like the perfect thing to ease my very sore left shoulder and neck area! Sometimes it feels like someone is sticking a knife under my shoulder blade!! YIKES!!
My favorite part of quilting?? ALL OF IT!!! It is what I think about when I wake up in the morning and when I go to bed at night!! I LOVE it ALL!!
What a great giveaway!
My favorite part of quilting is to see the faces of the kids that get the quilts that was made for them. I do mostly charity quilts for homeless teens and they are so greatful for anything.

I need this Alycia! I am a water frugal nut & water waste drives me crazy!
As for what part of quilting I like best, I really love it all from fabric & design choice through to even-yes- the binding now that I have developed my own way to do neat clean & beautiful binding all by machine.I have some QOV's for you, & Bernina Connection will be sending you a load, I have quilted 3 for them & 5 more here from their QOV sewing day!
Hugs
Roslyn
My favorite part of quilting is seeing everything coming together-first the blocks, then the quilting, then the finished quilt.
Pam
Thanks for your Blog, Alycia. And all you do for QOV and therefore our military.
My favorite part of quilting: sharing the love of quilting with friends, either here or online.
Second favorite: design and seeing it come together.
Thanks for the chance to win the shower head!
hand sewing the binding down. That means I'm almost done!
We are going camping for 3 1/2 weeks. SO is there really any question that I will be needing this when we get back?
OOPS, I forgot.
I LOVE hand sewing the binding. I get to snuggle in my quilts and make wishes for the recipient, especially my Quilts of Valor.
My favorite part of quilting is seeing how beautiful the quilting looks on the back of quilts. Many of my customers use muslin or sheets for backings. Than they use their quilts as reversible.
Today I have another favorite part of quilting. Purchasing a Statler Stitcher! I am so excited for the delivery and classes.
Anonymous is Vicky. LOL
I would love to have this! My shower head now is so old hardly any water comes out. This would be awesome!

Hi Alycia,
We not only have quilting in common, we have well problems too. But I think my DH and 2 DS just got done installing a 325 gallon plastic tank in our basement, so at least we can keep an eye on the water. The other good thing we did this last spring when my washer died, we bought a front load washer, which saves us a ton of water. So boy oh boy I'm keeping my eye on our water (it really is precious).
And my favorite part of quilting is putting the binding on, because that means the quilt is done...and that makes me very happy!
My favorite part of quilting is two-fold. I absolutely LOVE choosing the fabrics. (Could be why I have a stash!) This is because this part of quilting was so scary that I needed much help and deferred to others (usually my sister, a veteran quilter). With her help, I learned a great deal and am confident in my skills and have an 'eye' for color, size, texture, etc. I now love helping others select fabrics.
The other fold in quilting that excites me is to make pieced backings from the left-over scraps. Some have been so engaging that they are the favorite side of the quilt! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Lynn
OOooh, as you described what the WaterPic does, I got goosebumps! What a wonderful giveaway. Thanks so much.

Sorry, forgot to add, my favorite part of quilting is joining the blocks as that 'usually' means I am happy with what I have done thus far. 2nd part would be putting on the binding, a very relaxing few hours for me.
thanks again

My favorite part of quilting (as a longarmer) is finding ways to help the piecer's work shine!
