Our 4-H club teamed up with Erickson Floral in Greeley CO and designed a float for the Independence Day Parade in Greeley.
It was a lot of work - and I didn't do most of it !! The kids had a great time, and our 4-H leader has these awesome ideas. So even though it is not the 4th of July - I am going to share our photos!!!
(ps - the hay is mine tho - ha ha)
This is our float in the planning progress -
see the cow at the front
That is mine
( The best kind to have, he is clean)
Adding more things
We tried to have a representation of all the projects that our 4-H kids do
And we even hung quilts!!
A casualty!!!
It took us a while to get moving
the parade started at 9am with flyovers - this is what went over me
as I was sitting on the float
There is us - in all of our glory
Little bit is facing the other way - so you can see his back if you search
We think we did good
All the kids had a great time and worked together so well
I think our leader may need a nap - but she was awesome too!
I tried to upload a video for you of the flyover -
I hope it works

Looks like an exciting day!!
What a great float. The kids did a wonderful job. The pig with Santa hat is my favorite. You're right, the team leader deserves a round of applause.
I really like how the float turned out. It looks like you had a good time. Have a great weekend! --Andrea
Very nice! Funny! My son went to college in Greely 20+ yrs ago, and brought the decorating a Float talent all the way back to Fbks.,AK. He showed us how for a Shriner's float. When we were done it was so, so beautiful! We wanted kids that the Shriner's had helped sitting on it for the parade...what did we get? ....a bunch of old guys all puffed up with importance in fold up chairs. lol Oh, well, it was still beautiful & we had a good time decorating, but it was a lot of work!
That's an awesome float! Looks like a good time was had by all.
