RSC15 - aka - Scrappy Saturday

Over at http://superscrappy.blogspot.com/ Angela hosts the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I participated last year and it was really fun! It made me delve into scraps and find some new ones. I really enjoyed it - so decided to play this year.

For 2014 - it took me almost the month of January to make a Scrappy Plan.... It hurt my brain - but this year! I have a plan.... sort of.....

I made this quilt as a part of our guild Log Cabin Challenge in 2014

I pulled out my 30's prints and was quite shocked to see I had so many. I don't honestly remember buying that many....  I think.... someone else did and put them in my bin. ( at least that's my story)

I was surprised that I had so many left when I was finished!!  So that brings me to 2015

My RSC15 Scrappy Quilt will be..... From my 30's prints!!

I went through all of the Blues this last few days ( yay for vacations and snow days)  and pulled all the blues. I cut them up into usable pieces, and I have a plan.

I took all the little bits and strips - and ta da
(above)
I made this.... a few of those pieced are now about 50 inches long...
I made fabric
( bwahh haa haa....I crack myself up!)

I cut all the rest of the blues into 2 1/2 inch strips and then sub-cut them into their sizes.... and

I have a plan.....

I just hope it all comes together like I planned....
and I hope to really use all of the 30's prints!
( so I can buy more ... insert evil laugh)

It will be fun to watch your plan come to life! Blue is my favorite color.

Can't wait to see your plan come to fruition. I have a whole stash of 1930's prints and am looking for cool ways to use up that stash.

A plan, I love a plan. I wish I had more plans of my own :) But I think a plan to "make fabric" is a great one, I just may take that one on. Can't wait to see what you do with those strips. Happy New Year!!

Now what can you do with all those 2.5" blue strips? The sky's the limit. Have fun setting your plan into action.

It wasn't an evil laugh but I did have a chuckle of my own. Thank you!
My plans usually don't come true, but I have a block in mind, I just can't find the pattern. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Frustrating. I did pull some fabrics that are close to the right color. There's a lovely stack, no blocks made.
Hugs

I hope you manage to use them all up. Having to buy more fabric is a terrible burden, but it is the price to be paid for using up the old. Looking forward to seeing what all that 1930s fabric turns into.

I think I am going to join in the fun this year. I was playing with some block ideas last night. If you need more 30's prints, I am more than happy to send you some!
