Fun in the Snow

In the process of digging ourselves out.... we got a little sidetracked....

There was snow.... and there were spots where it hadn't blown yet.... and it was Sunday.....

And there was gas in the 4 wheeler.....

and we had ropes already tied to the sleds....

I mean... really.... whats a kid to do???

When EVERYTHING is working out like that?
Seriously......

Blizzard Delay

I am calling a blizzard delay.... The drawing will have to take place Monday.

We started out our Saturday snowing and blowing, and the post office is only open from 10-12 on Saturday - right in the heart of the blizzard. Our own personal road was a challenge, but the highway was worse - the fire trucks had already been by twice.

So - you have to love small towns right? I made a call  - they told me there were still packages in transit - and they wouldn't be there in time for me to pick them up....

I am making an executive decision, calling an Audible, making the change..... I will pick up the bags Monday and make the drawing then.....

Thank you for your understanding.  ;-)

Corn Dogs

Probably you all realize that this is not a cooking blog... and there is a very good reason for that......I'll just let you guess what it is...

However!  The kids and I were really craving Corn Dogs. Being a gluten free person I just could not find GF ones anywhere!!

And you all know corn bread batter is a little runny....

So Look at me!!! My version of corndogs!!!

I used the GF Corn Bread mix from Pamela's , poured it into my Cornbread pat.
I used GF beef bratwursts, sliced them into thirds, and put one in each section...

and voila - we had corndogs! They were a hit!! And there were not enough!!!

And that is my cooking post for the month ;-)
