I got to playing in my 5 inch squares again - I thought maybe I'd make a buckeye block or two as well. But!! then I remembered all the twists and turns this block could have so I started Twisting and this is what happened:
A new colorway - which I'm sure is not really new in the quilting world - but it is a new way for me to set these pieces.... and I am sure it has a name - but right now - its the *New Buckeye* 😆😇😆😇
And the fun thing is - If you lay them out twisted you get two different looks too.... Don't ask where this is going - I have NO idea - and maybe I Do have an idea, but I might not get to it.... so for know
I will enjoy the *new buckeye* haha!!

Isn't it amazing what a different design can result from the turn of a block!
That is a nice new way to lay out those blocks. I like it.
gosh looking very good from here alycia...
Simply elegant CLASSIC blocks are always striking, specially in a 2-color layout. Looking forward to the progress, Alycia!
I really like the star like pattern it creates when rotated this way. Looks like you are having good fun to me!
I like it! I see white stars at the intersection of the blocks.
The "geometricity" of quilt blocks intrigues us all! Great assortment of blues.
What a fun twist on that block!
I like it. :) And you don't always have to have a final destination or goal in mind... enjoy the journey! Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
I like the way two different patterns are developing!
It's looking great so far. Good luck.
It's always fun to be working with a block that is so versatile. Looking good so far.
That fun variation is going to make an awesome quilt, Alycia!
