I had some bits and pieces and strings left over and thought I had better sew them up too.... I mean, you know, I had already counted it out of my stash....
And everyone has been making these cute little mug rugs, and making crazy letters, and I thought - I bet I can do an E.... Its blocky and strippy.... and this is what I made:
But if course, all quilters know that fabric, when left alone for even a little teesy tiny bit of time will multiply... so then I started putting this together.
And I still had some strings left over so I started making a little border.... we will see if I have enough to make it all the way around this little orange quilt.

And, I love this one too! That orange and white looks so early summery! Lovely. If you need a strip or two of orange just let me know. I once bought about 8 yards of a sale orange fabric. I've used it as backing as several quilts and on the front too. Still have bits of it left! Surprisingly I have more orange fabric than I do purple. And, I really like purple fabric too. Sigh.
I really like the quilt you are whipping together from the scraps.
If not make a skinnier border by splitting it down the middle!
Love what you have done with your scraps' offspring. ;) Do you sleep?
Don't you just love orange and white? If you had asked me last year about orange I would have said "Love it as a fruit" but then seeing wonderful quilts like yours, you can't help but like it. Good Job!
Very cute - makes me want to go to the store and get some creamsicles (remember those?).
Now that I've gotten some yellow and orange fabrics, makes me want to do more in that color scheme

Very cute orange quilt! Love the border too. You are so right about scraps sometimes I think that a particular fabric is gone and then poof there is another large piece in the bottom of the scrap bin. :)
Excellent, excellent. Never can have too many orange quilts.
Very creative use of your remnants! Your quilt reminds me of orange sherbert. Yummy.
