Blue Scrappy Saturday

Oh.... sigh... it is the last Blue Saturday for the RSC15 challenge.... Sigh... I love blue.

Here are all my Scrappy Posts so far:
RSC 15 posts

For the year I have decided it is a 30's bust.... and I pulled all of my Blue 30's prints from my scrappy Bins:

Then I cut everything up....

And Ta Da:  This is my RSC15 Block for this year:

I got 21 blocks out of all the Blues!!! Who knew?

Now... I have to decide it I want to make an all Blue quilt, and save the one block for a rainbow quilt??

Or if I want to hold off and mix and Match??

Who knows?

The story of the block -
I am learning how to use Instagram  ( @ alyciaquilts)   and I found a picture on it from MrsSowandSow.blogspot.com - but her name is Nicky - and I looked at her photo, and there was a link to a sewing thing, and a tag to another person - and somehow I tracked it down and found the pattern.... then I printed the pattern... and there is NO NAME on it...

So I spent all day tracking it down again... just for you.... you can thank me in Chocolate - its all good.

So.... There you go!

You are too funny! I am forever following a link from here to there and then "stealing" an idea with no credit. Blocks look great! Thanks for finding the link.

Wonderful block and great use of scraps.

Great blocks. Thanks for the link; that pattern gives a nice effect made in just two colours.

Payment in chocolate...that is my form of barter! Great blocks and interesting to use the 30's genre of fabrics only. Well done.

That is awesome. I vote for one in blue and one in rainbow colors. What else do you have to do? :)

Oh, I really like YOUR layout. I didn't know you were doing the 30s bin bust challenge too! This looks awesome in 30s. (I have a hard time cutting into my pieces until they disappear. I kind of like the all blue..but then I think I would kind of like a rainbow too.

Wow, what a delightful quilt you’ve started! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that block. And together it sorta reminds me of a Scrappy Trip Around the World (TAW), but it also looks like an Irish Chain. Why not call it a Scrappy Irish Trip? Oh well, just thinking out loud, LOL. Just got my sewing machine back today from its first birthday checkup, so I have a lot of blue catching up today. Love your stuff!!

LOVE your blocks. Thanks for tracking down the tutorial! Thanks... a LOT!!! :P
Now, I've got ANOTHER quilt that I want to make. On top of all of my UFOs AND the quilts that I've already started with my scraps for the RSC15 Challenge.

Keep quilting!

What a great block for using scraps - you could make a small quilt each month!!!

I think I would wait for at least another month before I decide ... that way you can try two colors and see if you like the look . . .

Wow! You've been busy and must have a really good stash to get that many 30's fabrics . I really like the quilt as is and you do have that extra block for a rainbow .

Now there's determination! I often get lost tracking from one blog to another and sometimes wonder how I got there. Glad you didn't get lost!

I love, love, love your blocks.

They're so simple, but the scrappiness makes them deep.

I love for a blue & white quilt and saving the last block for a rainbow or sampler quilt!

Wow, you got a lot of blocks done. I really like that block. An all blue quilt would be beautiful!

Lol! Great post! Fun to read. Cool block, too. Have a good week.

Pretty blue blocks, those 1930 prints work really well in that pattern. You could go so many ways with this one, I'd be really tempted to do one in all blue, with maybe one red block. It would be a cool QOV.

Very pretty blue quilt.. or piece of a quilt depending on what you decide to do. I really like that secondary white design. Very nice!
