Pringles

I have a crazy friend - she gets me into things... This time she got me into a block swap - there are 7 of us - and we all have to make 350 blocks to swap, and then make another 150 to keep .

The idea was to use up your scraps - and I have used a lot, but I am not sure that i used them all - I kinda had fun cutting new stuff... I got them all cut and on my very very old baking sheet

and started stitching... I think I still have 90 to go - but!! that is not too bad right?

Oh wait!! Only 90 to go for the swap - I still need 150 for me to finish my quilt.... oops - but who's counting ???

Don't you just love the colors. A few of you mentioned a golf cart or a scooter to get around so I could still walk dogs - Brilliant ideas.... I live on gravel and dirt - so I took that idea... and told my husband - I want my 4 Wheeler!

He parked it at the door and off we went!! The dogs are getting pretty good running next to it. Bella - she is really interested in my boot, Last night I had it propped on the couch and she tried to chew it.  She was not impressed haha!

What a fabulous picture with such depth in the colors…..just amazing. I assume this means you can sew with your broken foot even if it might not be the easiest. It’s great the pups are happy enough running with you on the four wheeler.

That is a lot of blocks to make! That is such a beautiful photo, your view is spectacular. The 4-wheeler is a great idea.

I know you are going to have a blast on your 4 Wheeler...and the dogs will love it too! We had one in CO, and here, it's a bit tamer, but we have an ancient John Deere "Gator", literally held together with duct tape and bungee straps! If the dogs hear it...they want out and want a ride immediately! Have fun, Oh... that's a lot of scraps and sewing, but what fun to have 150 of your own blocks to synthesize all that you get from others. Fun, fun, fun!

Brilliant solution to use your 4-Wheeler! I imagine the boot had all sorts of new smells for Bella that she wanted to try it out to see is there was a treat inside. Good progress on your block swap!

Using your 4 wheeler is a great idea. Although the dogs probably like to ride too. That is a LOT of blocks!! Hope your group has plenty of time to do these. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilts.

Those are neat little blocks, Alycia! I might have paused when told I had to make 350 of them, though. Great idea to run around with the dogs on your 4 wheeler!

Too funny about Bella wanting to taste your boot! lol Great idea to head out on the 4-wheeler--the running will do the dogs good. Have fun with the block exchange!

Pringles! :D Everyone needs a crazy friend to keep us on our toes. And tell us more about this block swap! Is there a pattern or a color scheme? Our group loves to swap.

Cutting and stitching, cutting and stitching! Sounds like you are staying very busy. We all need a friend or two that gets us into mischief. Right? Happy Wednesday, Alycia.

Gorgeous photo. One nice thing about living in the plains, it really allows those dramatic skies to steal the show. Glad you found a way to be mobile. It's too pretty to be stuck inside all the time.
