Marching Stars QOV ( aka Winter Quilt along) and!! Finished ( or not!) Friday

Happy Friday!!

Hope your week has been wonderful!!!

I finally finished my own Marching Stars!!  I am so glad - and I am not sure where(or even why!!) I stalled out - but! we are done now!!

You can find the Pattern to Marching Stars Here: All the steps

We have been trying to teach Pound Puppy to be a SnooperModel too.... but she hasn't quite got the hang of it!!

That is my Big Accomplishment for the week.. I'll be back to tell you about our QOV presentation we had yesterday, and  We have a competition this weekend... so I won't be able to get into the Orange yet for the Rainbow scrap challenge - but its on my list!

Did you know today is May 1st?  May Day!! when we were little kids my Mom would help us make little baskets full of goodies and we would go deliver them on my grandparents porch... thinking we were sneaky - we would ring the bell and hide.

I think we forgot that Moms car, parked out front of their house probably gave it away ha!!

How has your week shaped up?
Any Extra Rain to send our way?
Quilts finished?

Beautiful quilt! Thank you for passing along the instructions. We never did the May Day celebrations at our house. No relatives nearby and I don't think my mom and dad considered it. Probably because of its origins - which I really didn't know about until later in life - I think. ;-) Blessings!

That's such a beautiful design, Alycia! I saw that many quilters were sewing along with you and they all had wonderful results, too. Happy Friday!

Your quilt turned out beautifully of course. I have no finishes to report this week as I've been working on that pattern test.

Aaw a new snoopermodel- how cute! Marching Stars is gorgeous. Patriotic quilts have a special place in my heart. Enjoy your weekend.

My grandmother was a Blue Star Mother. On May Day, that group make poppies to sell for a fund raiser. My brother and myself would get a bunch of poppies and a can to walk downtown selling the poppies. That was almost 70 years ago.

Your Marching Stars is an amazing beauty, Alycia!!! I would make a May Day basket of flowers too, for the next door neighbors. Ring the bell, beating heart and run!
