Saturday found us trekking to a town the I had not been to!!!
The local DAR ( Daughters of the American Revolution) had four Veterans they wanted to honor and wrap with a Quilt of Valor - and wowzers!! they went full out - it was a beautiful room, decorated to the nines, and!! they had a lunch prepared to feed 1000 haha!
The next day was our Sew Day!!
Look what got made:
The WINTER 2026 QOV QAL!!! This one wa pieced by Ms Jeri
and then:
The one above is a top- but the one below is fully finished - both by Ms Deb
And the Other Deb finished an Echos Block top - isn't it so great - she fussy cut the centers of the blocks
and now - Is spring here? or is it a joke? We usually have snow in March and April but it has been so warm that the apple trees are blooming - so pray for rain,,,, I want the apples!!!
I just love the colors too - I am so glad that the RSC color for April is Pink - I didn't know it - but I really wanted to play in the pink!!
Enjoy!

I love those "back" photos so much. Those Sew Day quilts are so, so pretty! Yay for the apple blossoms - hope you get some rain.
How fun that you got to travel and visit a new town. All the quilts look great, and fingers crossed for all of our (early) blossoms this year for sure!!
Beautiful blossoms! We need rain, too.
Great QOV quilts!
What a special day! How cool for the veterans to have lunch as well as their quilt!
It's always exciting to see a presentation!
Awesome QOV awards! Our local DAR has been doing the same, but held during the November meeting. We've been involved the past 3 years. Love how striking the new quilts are looking too. And I noticed over the weekend that one of our maple trees has buds on it. And like your apple trees, that's pretty early so hopefully it won't freeze hard again.
As usual those are gorgeous QOV quilts. Love your 2026 design.
