Saturday was national QOV Sew Day... How many of you played along?
I did, but at home. We had had our QOV sew day at the end of January - so.... some of us played along from home. I got Two Kits cut out... AND!!!
The pattern finished for the next QOV QUILT ALONG! We are going to do it as a Quilt a long again, instead of a mystery. So many people liked that so much better... and I liked it too, as I could stitch along with everyone too.
If you are interested - the QAL pattern will be shown here on Wednesday and the Fabric Requirements, and then - the next week - we will get started ;-)
We also had a presentation last week. Our group was invited to the Keenesburg American Legion to award 5 Quilts of Valor - such a COOL group of people. Its funny to me, that in larger town some of these organizations are shrinking, yet in Rural towns - they thrive.
As you can see - we had Veterans in Cowboys hats - SO proud to say we wrapped them, and didn't knock a Hat off!!! Go us!!
4 Army and 1 Marine
A fact we learned - This American Legion was a POW location in the 1940's for and its main meeting hall, was the mess hall of the Camp/ It was pretty cool to learn about that history.
Hope to see you Wednesday!!

Your QOV presentations always tug at my heart to see those dear veterans wrapped up in their beautiful quilts.
Always a happy presentation post!
Congratulations on getting the next quilt along pattern finished AND for not knocking off any hats!! :)
Well done to not separate a hat from a man's head! Isn't it interesting how the "hat" becomes part of the man? What an awesome wrapping!
Isn't it great to see all those veterans wrapped in their beautiful quilts? Wow!! And of course the cowboy hats are awesome. I have a brother-in-law who wears his hat all the time it seems. LOL I didn't sew along on Saturday as I wasn't home most of the day, but was involved in awarding a QOV on Sunday.
Looks like some great vets got some great quilts!
