Did you know it is almost Halloween? and that means fall is in the air!!!
I love pumpkins - they are so cute - so imagine my dismay when I didn't have any in quilt form! It was time to remedy that...
Aren't they so cute!!! Its little string Pumpkins!! the pumpkins are in one of Bonnie Hunters books - and I wanted to make them - so!! I did!! I don't expect you to remember, but when Green was the RSC color this year - I made these little green 4 1/2 ish rail (ISH) Blocks.... and I saw them sitting on the table
A light went on! What a grear way to use them AS THE BORDER!!! so I did!!
Then we added some pumpkin quilting, some green and white striped binding!!
and now!! it is on the top of my Dining room table!!
I have decorated ;-)

How cute and what a great idea to use those rails as a border. I don't have any pumpkin quilts either but I also don't have many orange scraps or strings so I guess there is no cute pumpkin quilt in my future.
They look like pumpkins in a field - so cute!
What an awesome finish! This pattern is on my "someday" list!
I love pumpkins in quilts, especially scrappy ones like yours! The green border is perfect for this quilt, too. Happy Friday, Alycia!
You just can't go wrong making anything with pumpkins!! Yes how did it get to be the last half of October so fast!!
Very cute pumpkins!!
Hi Alycia, your pumpkins and rail fence border are lovely. Yay for fall decorations!
A perfect fit together and a perfect fall quilt. <3 Your grand ideas are GRAND! Thanks for hosting the weekly party.
So cute!! I love the plaid orange fabrics in there!!
Such happy pumpkins and the quilting is perfect. Great way to use up those green RSC blocks!!
Alycia this quilt is adorable, but you've taken it to next level, imho, with the scrappy border AND that it was a stroke of serendipity to have the perfect green RSC blocks ready! I have a pumpkin throw that is similar to this one on my couch, and a pumpkin 'happy harvest' wallhanging, wait--and I have a pumpkin runner I designed for Island Batik on my dining table, so ya, guess I have more pumpkin quilts than I realized. :-)
Cute pumpkins
Oh, that's super cute! I really love the green border.
Congrats on a very fun finish. I don't have a fall or Halloween quilt. Guess I need to fix that.
Super cute quilt finish, Alycia! I've long been a fan of that pattern. One of these days, I'll make one of my own.
